This seemed to be quite an impressive building but due to a lot of works being carried out it was difficult to access well.

Fat Margaret refers to the tower by the great coastal gate, but is now a maritime museum. Unfortunately it was closed for renovation during my visit but should be open towards the end of 2019.

The cannon tower with adjoining sea-faring exhibition will be closed till Autumn 2019. Built in 1530 to protect the town from enemy arriving from sea it stands now by the main gate to the Old Town.

A broad circular tower, in sharp contract to that on the other side of the city gate. Appeared to be under restoration this summer. There's also a view-point close by.
