Olaf Church built in 1250 is a Russian Orthodox church and the tallest church in Tallinin. Apparently skyscrapers can not be built higher than this church

You cant miss the Tower to this church, which towers above the Tallinn skyline dominating the landscape right in the heart of the old town. While the church interior itself is nothing spectacular, the view form the top just have to be seen. You san see in all directions - the port to one side, the city itself and of course the views of the old town itself. Yes, it is a bit of a climb, but you can run most of the way down, and after all that delicious Estonian food you need something to work off the calories!

What's this? 258 steps up a narrow spiral stone stairway built before 1267 AD using just a rope to prevent tragedy and it only costs 3 Euros for adults. Then when you reach the platform up top, you hope it's been maintained recently. All I can say is, Count me in.

My wife and I didn't know about the climb to the top before our visit to St. Olaf's church. Glad we made it. Once you reach the top platform it's not for the faint of heart. It's also not really made for many visitors at the same time.

It was certainly worth the effort to climb all those stone steps to the viewing platform and take photos of the surrounding old town.

This is a lovely church to visit. The climb to the top of the tower is well worth it as the the views across Tallinn are fantastic!

Situated in the eastern-end of The Old Town. Is a small church and can feel the strong beliefs by the locals and the visitors. Very beautifully looked after and best respect, no photos when inside.
