“Worth a look”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2012

I specifically wanted to see Bernt Notke's painting Danse Macabre, so I got what I wanted but other exhibits were interesting too.

“Turned into a museum that gave me a real feel for...”

the 16th/17th century merchant and guild life. Sounds morbid, but the 'Dance of Death' in the rear is spectacularly well restored and fascinating. Worth the price of admission.

“Gothic Church”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2012

This church was destroyed twice, once by bombing and secondly by fire, however today it houses the medieval art colection. Be sure to visit the St. Anthony's chapel which remained in tact throughout the 2 attempts to destroy the building. The high alter and display of medevial painitngs depicts the life of St. Nicholas, brillant. There is also a drawing on the location where a mummy of a duke was found. The mummy stayed in the chapel until someone who had money claimed it to give a burial. I believe the church was originally catholic and then changed hads to become a medieval church before being destroyed and stands as an art museum.
