The tour through the passages was very intresting and it was clearly explained who used the passages and how they were used during the different eras, and it was set up to give you a visual of how it would have looked.

This tower was also one of the more intresting museums and the view at the top was pretty good.

Last day of our visit, when we had some hours before leaving, we went to this museum and it was right choice! Museum in interesting (interactive) way tells about Tallinn history. If tower wasn't for as so very big surprise (but view from the tower - great), than tunnels under city was new experience! :)

We only visited the tower museum being short for time. Very interesting displays detailing the city's history. The thick walls contain the spiral staircase which runs through the varying floors from the basement where there was a temporary exhibition of Arctic photo's.

If you can manage the steep steps, do view all the floors as the cafe on the top floor was lovely and a great place from which to view varying panorama's of the city.

The Bastion tower museum had a number of displays about city life throughout the centuries based around a military theme. There was also a temporary exhibition in the basement of photographs of the Arctic by a Canadian researcher. The guided underground tour of the Bastion tunnels followed the history of their use over the past 300 years, as well as a small humorous prediction of the future of Tallinn and the items left by it's occupants.
