This is Peter the Great's summer house. It contains a few period rooms and a short video. It is worth a quick look.

We had free entry with the Tallinn card and had time to visit this museum and enjoyed the displays and information. A ten minute video in the basement is worth seeing beforehand as this puts Tsar Peter the Great involvement in Estonia in context.

This was a temporary house for Peter 1 whilst his palace was being built. Historical movie in the basement was very interesting. Huge paintings of family members. Furniture and period pieces.

A little difficult to find as we were walking but so interesting. We were eager to see it as we had previously seen Peter the Great's similar cottage in St. Petersburg. Luckily we were the only ones there so the lady on the reception desk showed us round and it was fascinating. As there was no public loo she even gave us access to the staff facility!

I wasn't expecting much from this place but it is a nice little museum. Russian Tsar Peter the Great stayed in this little house while his Palace was under construction. Typical for these kinds of museums, you'll see his bed, dinning table, chairs and some memorabilia. But also a short video in the basement and as this is the oldest museum in the country, stories how even back then people ignored the 'do not touch' signs in museums and went even further by stealing something as a souvenir. This place will keep you occupied for something like half an hour.
