The hole area with museums is worth of visit speacilly for families with young kids. Kids can play outdoor, plenty to explore at the museums and the restaurant is ok too in the main building but there is also possibility to eat your own food at the garden. Very nice destination!

10 minutes from the city centre, on the hill with a wonderful sea view. The whole manor complex is very well renovated. There are 3 exhibitions: in the mansion - Estonian history, in the old stable - Estonian film history and the third gives you Estonian pop music history.
The mansion gives a very good idea about Estonian history and all the periods with loads of items. The mansion itself has a colourful history... One can have a lunch in the restaurant, first opened in 1933.
Behind the mansion there are some political sculptures from the nightmare soviet era.

This museum provides an excellent introduction to Estonian history. I enjoyed the special exhibit for the centenary of Estonian independence. Don;t miss the sculpture garden in the back which provides a resting place for the torn-down Soviet monuments.
Highly recommended.

After visting this museum I have an understanding of how Estonians struggled for their freedom. Occupied for so many years , this museum shows how that freedom was achieved, situated in the centre of old town this is a must visit.

The exhibition is very interesting. There is a lot of interactive activities, interesting material, games, and videos. Also facts about the nation today. There is an outdoor playground for children.
