I love this hotel. The building is beautiful, the service is fantastic and the rooms are cozy and immaculate.

To start, the lobby and hotel staff are glamorous. Although small, the lobby is warm and beautifully furnished and the doorman and reception desk employees are all dressed as if going to a ball. Service is excellent and prompt.

The rooms were equally as impressive. While not very large, they are furnished well and actually live up to the pictures posted on tripadivsor. What was most impressive is the cleanliness - not a hair, fingerprint smudge or piece of dust anywhere. It was like they just renovated painted and re-caulked. Everything seemed was absolutely spotless.

The location is also great. Right near the town square in Old Town. Breakfast was also very good as well.

St. Petersbourg is a quality boutique hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Attentive service, great little hotel with old world charm. Has all the modern amenities you need and best of all, you can walk to everything in old town. And the front desk staff are just so warm and have great attention to detail. The "pig" restaurant there is just excellent - home style ambience, quality food, and decent service. The fine dining restaurant was closed when we were there over Christmas, which was disappointing as it's supposed to be good. As a side note, Talllin is so vibrant over Christmas - the market is just excellent. All the museums are closed though so just be aware.

Been to Tallinn many times on a day visit whilst working in southern Finland but this was my first overnight stay.
The hotel is in a great location and manned by very friendly staff. Rooms are clean and the breakfast was more than adequate for my needs.
As for the lack of an elevator I really couldn't care less as the stairs perform their duty very well!
On a serious note if you have a mobilty issue you need to be aware of the fact there is no elevator.

Happy to recommend the hotel and would stay here again.

I loved this place. The hotel had an old fashioned charm but the rooms were modern and well appointed. The staff were wonderfully professional and sweet. And the location is perfect, just up the hill from the town square. Highly recommend.

We spent Christmas here and it was a perfect location for exploring the very small town of Tallinn. The front desk staff were nice and helpful and the included breakfast bar was good. Here's what I liked: 1) the location, 2) the room was nice, 3) the bed was nice, 4) it was pretty quiet at night but this may have been the advantage of being there in the winter. Here's what I didn't like: 1) there's no elevator so climbing steps up to the 3rd floor several times a day got old, 2) the shower had a half glass enclosure which means I was able to shower half of the bathroom floor every time, 3) the price is a little high.

Dear Guest,

Every feedback received from our guests is very valuable and so is yours, so I would like thank you for taking your time to tell us about your experience while staying at Hotel St.Petersbourg.

First of all thank you for the compliments as well as concerns shared. To better understand our position I would like to give you slight overview of why certain things are the way they are. Building of hotel dates back to 1850 and there is really not much we can do to make an elevator or extend the space of the bathroom. Building itself is a architectural masterpiece located in heritage protected area of old town. So any major changes like adding elevator or braking walls in bathroom area would not even be possible because of this fact. However adding separate shower cubical and bath tub in same area where at the moment its combined, would not allow comfortable movement for two people at the same time. So, I hope you may agree that this is the best option considering previously mentioned fact to maximize our guests comfort. Although we haven't faced guests dissatisfaction in regards to this matter before, I do understand that habits or taste may vary, and wanted to at least give you reason why separate shower area is not available in some of hotel rooms.

On top of all, Hotel St.Petersbourg is first hotel that has ever been opened in Tallinn and is still functioning as one. And due to fact that there is no elevator, is why our staff assists you with any belonging you might need to carry. However I wish we would have know in advance you would prefer to stay in lower floor to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable. Please accept our apologies for inconveniences caused.

We do hope you would give us a chance to accommodate you in future with the preferences stated in your comment above. I will forward your compliments in regards to service to our team, as I am certain will love to hear you have appreciated their efforts of you being looked after.

With best regards,

Mara Blaubarde

We were expecting a great stay, but other guests really ruined it. Drunk neighbours screaming in the corridors did not help us sleep. I had to finally go out and tell them to shut it. For an old house the walls seem quite thin.
In general, the room looked good, but the bed was short. The service was friendly. We were given a bag breakfast as we left early in the morning, but were surprised that there was no coffee available at 06.30. Yes, there were some instant coffee packs in the room (not something you expect from this quality off a room).
It might have been an off day, but we were not very impressed.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience while staying with us. I was very saddened to hear your night sleep was disturbed by neighbors next door. Please rest assured that we are doing our best to eliminate any disturbances there might be to avoid such situations now and in future. Thank you once again for informing us about such incident.

And in regards to early breakfast coffee, I only wish we would have had another opportunity provide the coffee to your liking. So far our guests have been very pleased with the coffee machine provided in the room and would like to advise to contact me or front desk directly to clarify any preferences in future. Despite the incidents encountered, thank you very much for the compliments in regards to our friendly staff as they like to hear their efforts have been appreciated. We do hope that you will give us another opportunity to better serve you in the future and would like to wish you wonderful holiday season filled with love and joy!
