You can take the tram from the Balti Jaam or Viru Keskus and be dropped off outside. I had a lovely walk through the park and took some photos of the Presidential Palace. If you want to know more about the history and culture of Estonia there are a few cultural museums as well.

The park is lovely with locals using it for walking/jogging. The Palace is interesting if you are interested in art but I enjoyed the gardens to the rear. I suggest checking times of opening if you want to visit. Overall nice break from the city for an afternoon if good weather.

You may take Tram Nr. 3 from Viru Station (but also Tram Nr. 1 works nearby) until final station; the rate is 1,60 EUR to pay with the driver. The Park and castle are very nice, you may take an hour or two to walk around in the park and the nice gardens close to the palace. Mind the opening hours for the palace until 5 p.m. only. The park is open always.

We went to Kadriorg park for walks and running from where we continued towards shoreline to the Marina. Lovely route for a nice walk combining woods and the beach.

This park is immense so if you're a happy park wanderer, you could spend hours there. The grounds include Kadriorg Palace and Kumu art museums. Check which days they are open if you want to visit them. At the back of the palace is a beautiful flower garden. There's a number of other buildings to admire and a Japanese Garden. The rose garden is still being established but will be impressive when it develops. There's lots of statues, some fountains, a lake and waterways. Definitely worth packing a lunch and meandering through at your leisure and a nice change from the Old Town.
