Owner description: This onion-domed, Russian Orthodox Church was built in 1900 and named after the Russian hero who defeated the Teutonic Knights in the thirteenth century.

Visited this ancient Russian Orthodox Church. It's architecture is stunning. Well worth walking around the outside to fully appreciate.
Inside is quiet dark and less impressive with large widen pews. The 'no photography' rule inside is strictly unforced by a less than friendly security guard. Nonetheless, well worth a visit.

Lovely ornate church overlooking Tallinn. Nice to look around and light a candle. Be respectful of the local church goers and avoid the grumpy old priest who might push you out of his way as I saw him do to a woman. Don't think he likes tourist in his church!

Visited here on a shore excursion from our ship. We only had an hour in this part of Tallinn, so just had a look around the outside as restoration work was underway and it looked very busy inside. A lovely interesting building with detailed architecture. Once the building work to this and the surrounding buildings are completely finished, it will open the area up. Well worth looking around. Beware of cobble streets and paths if you have mobility issues.

Not beeing religious myself, I have always been amazed of the religious monuments alk over the world. This is a small but beautiful church. If interested go see, no admission. Due to rhe construction right now I did not get the extra feeling, and I hope you don't get to see the foolish guard with wat to big jeans, and wornout leatjer jacket, running around ruining the moment with his do and don'ts ...a man given to much authority

We went in to this cathedral, there are no seating??? Wonder if visitors have to stand all mass? And what is the thing with no pictures? Without flash it shouldn´t be any problems? I was expecting more, not good enough.
