Owner description: This jumble of 14th- and 15th-century architecture with its medieval walls, needling spires and twisting, cobblestone streets is also the site of many of the city's important historic attractions and museums including the House of the Brotherhood of the Blackheads, St. Catherine's Guild and the 15th-century Guildhall that now houses the History Museum.

Absolutely brilliant!!!! You feel like you've stepped back in time. The old town is just oozing with ambiance. There is no shortage of things to see and do here. You could spend hours and hours just walking through town admiring all the architecture and making pit-stops at all the lovely cafes and bars. This city is steeped in history and a must see. We visited specifically for the Christmas market and it was absolutely lovely. Lots of stalls and some great "street food" and drink.

I liked to see around, sit for a coffee or a drink. The were lot of flowers and they were very cheap. One rose, one euro! In the summer time when it is warmer than in May the old town would be a lovely place to spend time from morning to evening.

The most beautiful medieval town. Enjoyed walking the streets and taking in the atmosphere. You can walk the city walls at a few locations. St Olav's church is well worth a visit. For 2€ you can climb to spire for magnificent views over the city. If your short on time you can hire bikes at the tourist information or City Bike on Uss.

I like this kind of towns. I mean, I used to like. Now they definitely start to look all the same. It might be a must for a non-European traveler, but for me it was just another well arranged medieval city. I saw a few before. Some more impressive, some, not really. I don't regret the visit but it taught me a lesson: this was the first time I traveled to a place for these reasons.

Tallinn has a beautiful Old Town. Great photo opportunities.
Nice remnants of centuries old architecture.
