Owner description: This jumble of 14th- and 15th-century architecture with its medieval walls, needling spires and twisting, cobblestone streets is also the site of many of the city's important historic attractions and museums including the House of the Brotherhood of the Blackheads, St. Catherine's Guild and the 15th-century Guildhall that now houses the History Museum.

“come by cruise ?”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

Don't bother paying for a trip to the old town if you don't mind a gentle walk. We got the free shuttle into the centre and walked the old walled town. Very pretty and the view from the top is great. Its an expensive shopping location. A pint of local and a bottle of water...about 6 euros. Places to see are the square and the castle at the top.

“The nicest city of the Baltics”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

All main things to do are in a walking distance. Public transport is very adequate to visit some locations outside the city. Negative aspect: the prices are high and tend to get higher.

“Nice Strolling Area”
Reviewed June 24, 2013 via mobile

This is a nice place to stroll around in. As another mentioned, a guidebook is helpful so you know what to look for. But you can meander around and still be charmed. Just don't exchange money at any of the shops here - their exchange rates are not very good.

“A great place to wander around and take in the sights”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

A very quaint old part of Tallin. Reminded me of Bath in the UK but a little more condensed. Great variety of bars and cafes and restaraunts. Lots of history and generally very friendly people.

“Great place for a few days”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

Tallinn has lots of fabulous old buildings, plenty to see for those interested in history. Great food in almost all restaurants. Cobbled streets so wear suitable shoes.
