My wife and i visited Tallinn for one day on a cruise ship. We had been there before so we booked a massage for later in the day. We returned and were told only one of uscould get a Swedish massage. My wife took that and had a very pleasant massage in a private room by the non Asian therapist. I settled for a Thai oil massage, not wishing to endure a traditional Thai massage.
I was directed to a room with mats on the floor separated only by curtain from the adjoining space. The Thai therapist spoke no English, chatted with the therapist next door early in the massage and generally gave me a " fluff and buff". Long strokes that weren't very deep or therapeutic. There is no a/c in the place and it was a warm day so she opened a window and we had rock music blaring from the bar next door. I finally had her close the window.
Moral of the visit, don't go to a Thai spa for a western style massage.
