We arrived via a cruise ship and met the City Bike rep right at the wharf. Thomas came down and met us and took us on a delightful tour for a couple of hours. He covered the history of Estonia as we cycled through old factories, the old seaplane port, the new artsy part of town and end up in the old town. Good tour for families with teenage kids. Helmets compulsory (provided) if under 16. Great value.

We met City Bike at the port where our cruise ship docked - they had a small facility inside the port fence. The majority of the ride was outside the old town and not on cobble stone streets, which meant we got to see several important buildings and some residential neighborhoods that many tourists miss because they are outside the confines of the Old Town. The bicycles were not new, but were in very good shape with plenty of gears to manage any hills - which were minimal. We dropped our bicycles off at their store in Old Town and then walked around.

The ride was pretty easy and a lot of fun. I highly recommend it.

City Bike has a super convenient location for cruise ship passengers - literally right before you get to the exit gate! Lea was our tour guide and we got to see most of Talinn along with history and interesting stories...We pedaled all the way out to the Outdoor Museum to see old historical houses and arranged for the van to bring us back (as it was raining and 58 degrees during our ride - our teens could only handle it for so long :)....We ended at their shop, which was very close to the center of town so we could continue shopping prior to getting on the boat. We hit most of the sights on our Rick Steve's must see check list, and she was quite interesting and laid back. The bikes were in excellent shape and had good shocks (great for Talinn streets - not as bike friendly there as much as the Scandinavian countries). Had an excellent time!
