Description: Clayhills is the first gastropub in Tallinn, Estonia. Our menu takes inspiration in British, European and local Estonian tradition and we carry a wide selection of local and international beers and wines. The word gastropub comes from the combination of two words "gastronomy" and "pub" and was created in Britain in 1991. Gastropubs are a recent trend that serves high quality food in a relaxed environment. Live music is a strong part of our identity and every weekend after dinner at 22.00 we have live music for your enjoyment. We look forward to seeing you!

“Good safe pub food”
Reviewed December 16, 2013 via mobile

We stopped into this gastropub as our first stop in Tallinn. We were both in a slightly bad mood after my partner had her new scarf stolen disembarking from the Silja Line boat. That and the rather...industrial...feeling welcome to Tallinn didn't bode well for Estonia.

Luckily, the warm atmosphere in this pub on the edge of the old town cheered us up. It feels quite similar to an English gastro pub (right down to the questionably legal Sky Sports HD UK feed on their TVs!). Decor is nice and it feels very cosy.

Food - the burger was nice; nothing to write home about, but filling and served with an ample portion of thick chips. Cheese was a paid for extra which some might turn their nose up at. My partner went for a linguine which was delicious - but heavy on the creme. Overall a high 3/5 in this category.

Beer - several choices of local and generic beer. Nothing special in terms of ales. 3/5.

Environment - comes into it's own here. Friendly staff, warm cosy feel. 4.5/5.

“Lovely Place”
Reviewed December 9, 2013

Came in here for a couple of drinks.

Tried the "sampler" of 8 different beers and had a couple of pints and left slightly unsteadier than when we arrived!

Lovely and warm in the pub (cold outside) and service was low key friendly and faultless.

Recommended.

“Great atmosphere, comfy surroundings”
Reviewed December 6, 2013 via mobile

Myself and a group of friends stopped here for a drink and a snack we ended up staying two hours and having a delicious pudding. Reasonably priced and just the right amount of service from the waiting staff, would go back

“Great evening”
Reviewed December 1, 2013

We ate here as a group of six, three couples
A really lovely evening
Food was all freshly cooked, we tried the tapas which although not authentic was tasty, well presented and the dips were delicious.
Also three of us had the house burger with blue cheese, great value with chips to die for!!!
On the night we chose a guitarist was playing an acoustic session, this added to the evening and created a great atmosphere.
The only dish that we could find fault with was the size of the fish portion in the fish and chips, beautifully cooked but the portion of fish was far too small.
Our waitress was friendly, attentive and helpful.
Would definitely recommend this gastro-bar and would choose to eat here again.
