“Helle is a hoot!”
Reviewed February 3, 2014 via mobile

We took this tour with Helle, and what a great tour guide. She did not fill your head with dates and numbers, but instead gave us a peek into what life was like back in time - starting back in the 1200s to present.
The tour highlighted both the upper and lower "old city" and was a great sampling of what Tallinn has to offer.
This was definitely worth doing and Helle is a great guide.

“Helpful”
Reviewed January 29, 2014 via mobile

We visited the Tourist Information Centre to enquire about walking tours. The lady was helpful, giving us time and meeting point for this daily walking tour.
It leaves from outside the Information Centre at midday, daily.
We didn't have to wait long, the tour guide was there at noon, and we left to stand in a nearby, sunny, spot immediately.
Our young guide gave the group a condensed history of Estonia and Tallinn as we moved around the city, taking the cool temperature into consideration, finding sunny or less breezy spots and popping into the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral for a little warmth as well as some religious history.
The whole tour, almost 2 hours, was conducted (in English) with enthusiasm animation and humour.

“Tallin by foot”
Reviewed January 9, 2014 via mobile

Heli gave us 2 hours of Tallin old town high lights with a quick history lesson as bonus. Good value as an intro to Tallin and then off you go independently exploring.

“Needs to venture out of old town”
Reviewed January 5, 2014 via mobile

I did this tour as I'd done the ones in Vilnius and Riga which were great for showing you the city outside of the touristy old town stuff. Unfortunately this one didn't leave the old town and I found it disappointing. All the places we went to were places I'd already found on my own.

The guide pointed out things on the horizon that were good to go to and things on the map that were good...shouldn't we have gone to those places instead?

Not to disparage the tour, the guide was very bubbly and knowledgeable. Just maybe don't do this tour if you've already gone around the old town.

Really nice tour, very informative, I can't remember the name of our guide but she was great, funny and answered all our questions. Could definitely recommend this tour!
