“Excellent hotel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2012

We had a very nice experience with this hotel.
We came to the hotel before check-in time, but were able to get our room anyway, which I consider really good service.
The only minus was that both times we visited the front desk, we had to wait quite a while before any of the staff noticed/acknowledged us.
We were on the old side of the hotel, but that was not a problem at all. The room was spacious and clean, even thought the hotel was busy the rooms were quiet. Very good amenities, since there were coffee and team making facilities. Bathroom was also very big.
The spa was very nice and clean. There are four different types of saunas, which was really good variety, and a couple of pools.
Breakfast was excellent, lots of foods to choose from, and plenty of space.
Location was good too, as it's not too long of a walk to the "old town".

This hotel was part of our package tour, so I can't rate the quality base on what our tour company paid for. However, it is a nice, decent hotel. It is located outside the walls of oldTallinn, but within walking distance of the old city and almost all the major sites.

Overall great hotel, located right on the outskirts of old town, all you have to do is cross the road and you're there. Room was modern and clean. The spa area is phenomenal. I was trying to get a massage but they were all booked so can't comment on the treatments.
Breakfast is adequate, you got your eggs, cereals and pastry. Cafe mademoiselle is simply out of this world, very delicious. Asian grill restaurant is 25euro per person, is quite good, although 25 is a bit much i think, plus you pay for any extra drinks (tea, water, alcohol). But the food itself was very good.
Definitely will stay here again next time I'm in Tallinn.

Room Tip: Choose standard (modern) room, they're in the new section of the building. They're very mode...

Me and my friends had booked a standard room for 3, but we got a free upgrade to a suite. Magnificent room and very good view. This room is also sold a family room and I would highly recommend it for your stay. Its at a walking distance from old town and the city center.

The reception was crowded when we arrived as a tour group had just arrived but the receptionist was quite quick to service. I think this hotel due to its value for money is a favorite among tour operators and a crowded reception seemed to be a regular feature.

One thing to note is the parking, the parking is reserved at the reception although there is a parking meter in the basement with a button for hotel customers. The machine charged me 5 euros and I then had to pay another 12 euros at the reception. I did recommend that they eliminate the confusion with some signs or printed info near the parking meter.

But overall I was very pleased with this hotel.

It was fift time in this hotel and service was very good again. This hotel is very clean and comfortable. We ate at Wok and Grill restaurant and the buffet menu were really good.
The Spa was nice and clean but one negative thing is that the Finnish sauna is very much too hot and dry. Location is good and near old town.

We got a very good price for two-night trip with Linda Line. The three of us had each a must requirement for the hotel, i.e. bacon for breakfast, a spa, and a gym. All were on offer at Meriton Spa. The rooms were rather spacey and clean, shower in a tub type of bathrooms were OK. Breakfast was bit of a let down, it was rather limited and fresh fruits and vegetables were hard to come by. Gym was really nice, surprisingly large and airy with all possible equipment for a good work out. I did not try out the spa, but my friend thought it OK although somebody nicked her towel while she was swimming! You need to take your towel from the room with you to the spa (unless willing to pay towel rental) and she had hard time getting a new one from the reception. The cafe Mademoiselle had the best selection of lovely cakes in Tallinn I'm sure! The beauty services were of good price and worth checking out, I had my hair done (highlights, cut, and blow-dry) very quickly and efficiently in the downstairs saloon. (Finns note; you can get even 20 % discount with S-bonus card!) The Cubano bar offers lovely (very pricey) mojitos, try the Japanese one with vanilla vodka - it was delicious!

Service was good and friendly everywhere, except sometimes the ladies at Mademoiselle seemed a bit fed up with their job...

There is a nice little park with benches just cross the street uphill.

Overall, I would not pay the full list price for staying in this hotel but the package offer app. 80 € per night per person with return ferry tickets from Helsinki was certainly good value for the money, especially as I had the other double room only for myself!

I have stayed at this hotel twice now and both times have been good. The spa is conveniently downstairs and services there are good. The hotel is within a walking distance from Old Town and shopping, which suited me well. I ate at the Asian wok place: the food is ok, nothing special though. The only minus point was that the prices at the cafe were really high in comparison to general price level. Overall, the hotel is spacious, clean and in my opinion good value for money. I would stay there again.
