No vale for the money. Few cells, some pics/stories on the wall and couple of videos/presentations.

Shoul be frer entrance or just one euro.

In this beautiful town, a small unobtrusive entry sign invited unsuspecting visitors into the basement of a lovely-looking home. Inside the stark reality of not-too-distant days gone by, we read of torture and terror that went on there. A very sobering reminder of governments gone awry. A must-see for every visitor.

KGB Prison Cells lets you walk through actual prison cells at Pagari 1 where enemies of the state were held and interrogated by the secret police for a half century.

It’s reasonably priced at 5 euros and self guided. You can see everything in about a half hour and the descriptions are written in English, Russian and Estonian.

There are about five cells with exhibits to look at. Plus, you can personally experience what solitary confinement felt like. There’s also amazing art work depicting the torture that went on at the KGB Headquarters.

It’s a quick visit, but important.

During a port call on our cruise, we visited the KGB Prison cells while walking through the city. Yes, there is a small entry fee, but it is well worth it. Taking in the cells and reading the provided information helps one understand the conditions during the former Soviet Union. It was a powerful stop and makes you thankful for the freedoms you have (and we will assume by traveling and visiting you have at least some freedoms). It was very informative and we are happy we made the stop!

Small museum with circa 6 cells remaining from it's time as a KGB holding centre. If travel for you is about experiencing history then this is a must do in Tallin. Highly recommended.
