A small and fairly random museum. The ground floor starts with Russian education and the top floor is rather disjointed and jumps between different subject matters.
The museum closes at six, we wanted to leave by 5:30 and found ourselves locked inside! We asked to leave and the staff suggested we stay for another 30 minutes, we felt rather trapped inside!
Save your money and visit somewhere else.

First of all, do not expect any hand-on experience in this museum, at least for today. It is a classic museum with a relatively small but extremely rich exhibition(s) where you could spend hours exploring evidences of Russians life in Estonia in the hard time of changing governments and politics. You could also see a movie or get a deep impression of the art of old believers who left Russia centuries ago and started a new life in Estonia. All that is very interesting if you are interested to get a knowledge.

However, if you are not looking for real history as I did, you are still welcome to step by and enjoy graphics which is not widely known, so later you may tell to your friends, you had seen a hidden gem of a Russian history in Estonia.

Well i though visiting this place would give a glimpse about Russian culture in Estonia or communist history during the soviet occupation, but all i saw there was a small exhibit for ink and press printing machines! 2nd floor was about some photographs of Russian cities !

This small museum reslly doesn't have much to see. On the ground floor are a couple of rooms about the history of Russian printing in Estonia. While upstairs, are some 19th and 20th century photos of Russia and it's people.

Of the two, the photos are the more interesting but they probably take 10 minutes to see.

The staff are very helpful and friendly.
