The restuarant is located in the middle of the old town in a building on the UNESCO protection list. (No air condition allowed, so at each place setting a hand fan was laid out!). The restaurant was reccommended to us by our local guide, who assured us it would not be one of the typical historical meals with too much grilled meat, beer and mead. In fact it was quite the opposite. The idea was to serve us courses from various centuries, just using ingredients and spices that were available in Vilnius at that time. The food was very good and interesting. (It is the first time I have tasted beaver!) Our waiter was very good at presenting the dishes and giving us the background. A very stylish eating experience!
