Forest for rest

The best hotel I have ever lived. Rooms are good and comfortable. At the morning you can drink free tea or coffee with tasty cruassanes (they are not free and you need to order them before the evening). This hostel is full of different phrases and pictures which you can find even in your wardrobe. If you like singing birds beyond your window and like the good atmosphere you must visit this place.

Drinking alcohol is not allowed unless you purchase it from them! When a hostel only tells you this after you paid and checked in the room there is one word for that - RIP OFF. The staff are efficient & they smile a lot - but only to each other. All I received during my stay was sour poker faces which made me feel not welcomed. The water in the shower turn hot-cold-hot-cold every 2 minutes, disaster. The walls of the room are so thin that you hear everything from the other rooms and the noise from the lobby. The curtains are light colored and the light is on all night outside so you can't sleep after 7 AM. The "forest" (garden..) thing is nice, but loses its point completely since Vilnius is a frozen place and you don't wanna sit outside. The Fire place was off during my entire visit. Rooms are too small. Facilities and public area are OK and the place look nice. I don't understand the so many so positive rating. This place needs a LOT of improving, starting with explaining the staff that it doesn't hurt to smile and be friendly before it can be an appropriate guest house. Maybe worse of all is that this place is not really 10 minutes walk from old town. It's 20 full minutes walk each direction plus an extra 10 minutes just to get to the main road if you don't know the stairway shortcut which is not marked on google maps. And why would you know? The rooms have no keys but just a code, and the doors don't lock properly so basically your valuables may be exposed to anyone walking in the hostel to take when you are not in the room without any protection. I did not like my stay and I will not go there again. It's a nice place that tries to be cool & friendly but so many things must be fixed ASAP. As it is not, I will not go there again.

Downtown Forest Hostel is the best hostel I've stayed in!! Absolutely loved the forest-themed layout and the pretty lights cascading across the patio! We stayed in the 6-bed dorm and the rooms were cosy and spacious. Towels and lockers are available, wifi connectivity was excellent and all the staff were really friendly and helpful! Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Vilnius!! Highly recommended!

I found the beds really comfortable, the staff very friendly, the location is cute (went to visit a cemetery Rasy Kapines - relatively close - a surreal place, highly recommneded)
The area around the reception is comfy and welcoming. I did not find the kitchen and the area around it that cosy and fun to hang around in.

Awesome place. Very nice and helpful staff. Reception cozy with fireplace and books and games. Rooms where clean and warm. For breakfast you can order very delicious croissants. Coffee and tea for free. Beautiful patio - we where in march, but i believe in summer patio is more beautiful. Receptionist suggest where to go to eat good local food. I want to come back. :)

This hostel is one of the best I visited, it has 24h reception. Beds are nice, there are lockers available in the room, shared bathroom. There is a bus stop just at the street above, but to go to the city center you don't need a bus, it is just a walk of 10 mins.
