“Parkas Europos is a must see while in Vilnius”
Review of Europos Parkas

Europos Parkas

Attraction details

Parkas Europos was a surprising attraction just outside of Vilnius. If you like art, nature, and hiking its a must see. An open air museum with lots of space to explore on your own. I felt like I was the only one in the park in September. Take a picnic and make it a day trip.

Take marchrouteney taxi (mini bus tax) #146 from Vilnius center which departs approx 4 times, daily. Its a 25 minute ride to Parkas Europos entrance.

This place reallyis fantastic. Contempory sculpture set in 55h of woodland about 20km outside of Vilnius. It was so peaceful and just a lovely place to spend a day See the website of how to get there and prices etc. The bus only goes a few times a day but is spot on time .One of the highlights of my time in Lithuania

A little bit too far from Vilnius you'll find Europos Parkas. It's a little bit tricky to get there by bus, but it's worth it if it's nice weather and if you like nature and fresh air. The park shows about 90 sculptures and installations placed out in the nature from artists from the whole world and there is also a nice restaurant where you can rest and have a nice dinner.

If you're in Vilnius with kids, this is a must - a large open-air sculpture park set in woodland which gives plenty of shade on hot days, with a nice little cafe serving simple but good value food. There are sculptures of all sizes, many of which are 'hands-on' scattered around the park, and with kids it's great to follow the quaint map trying to track down the exhibits. Some are very thought-provoking, a couple are plainly bizarre, but the overall impression is that this is 'art for the people', it's not stuffy or pretentious in any way. Don't miss the amazing wall of old televisions!

Easy to find from Vilnius but DON'T take the route from Moletai, this is nothing but a cart track and if it has been raining you will get stuck!
