“Gives a medieval feel”
Reviewed March 26, 2014

Narrow and Cobbled streets, spires and undulating topography. Just pick a map (hardcopy or softcopy) and explore. Some corners are just so picture perfect.

“Friendly and clean”
Reviewed March 24, 2014

This must rate as the friendliest and cleanest city in Europe, with the Old Town at the centre. Churches, restaurants, art galleries, shops and coffee shops fit beautifully into the cobbled and windy streets of this delightful centre.

“Very nice old town”
Reviewed March 21, 2014

lots of old buildings with detailed decors, nicely refurbished (or in original state). Nice shops and good restaurants and cafes. There are also some interesting museums.

“Enchanting in all seasons”
Reviewed March 18, 2014 via mobile

Who doesn't love cobblestone streets, European architecture, trendy restaurants, unique shopping and coffee shops aplenty? We came here on a whim and have been pleasantly surprised by our enjoyment of the city. It has been easy to spend several days enjoying the culture, shopping and eating as well as simply wandering around and exploring the many alleys and neighborhoods.

“Everything you want in a very compact space”
Reviewed March 7, 2014

Vilnius Old Town is easy to discover on foot : all the sights and activities lie practically next to each other . Shops , restaurants , museums , a lot of churches , even a foreign country within the city limits (Uzupis) are easy to visit within a day or three . You don't have to rush to explore the sights and to enjoy the local specialities . Try the local brews ! The city is also a very safe place to visit , just go there and relax . Don't forget to visit the Genocide Museum and some amber shops . Also recommendable is the workshop of Jonas Bugailiskis in Ausros Vartu : a feast for the eyes and nostrils . He makes the most extraordinary sculptures , music instruments and toys out of wood . You will have to go trough a gate to find it , but it is worth it !
