Cheap. Good location. Short distance from the old town. Nice but small room without minibar. Shower stung like hell due to lime residue in the shower nozzle.

We arrived in Vilnius by air and took the train from the airport to Vilnius train station. from the train station the Rinno was a fairly short and interesting walk away. we passed some interesting buildings and the egg sculpture which used to be located in Uzupio on route.

The hotel is a very friendly family run business. Check in was efficient and polite. The receptionist spoke good English.

The room was clean and comfortable. it had no tea/coffee making facilities and no safety deposit box. However, there were safety deposit boxes free of charge at reception.

The hotel is very convenient for getting to the old town on foot. Public transport to further away locations passes by just outside. There is a nearby supermarket.

Breakfast is served either indoors or in an outdoor terrace. Cooked eggs dishes and apple or banana pancakes could be ordered from the waiter and a continental buffet was provided.

The only negative thing about the hotel was the noise from the street on the Friday night. I could have sworn there was a group of drunken Lithuanians running round our room at one point it was so loud. However, we had left the windows open because it was hot so maybe it would not have been too bad with them shut. Also on the Thursday night of our stay it was not particularly noisy.

Check out was fine except that our room price had been quoted in Euros and we attempted to pay in Euros but this was not allowed. It had to be paid in Litts or by credit card. We had spent most of our Litts so went for credit card. I guess we should have clarified payment when we checked in.

On the whole I found the hotel clean and friendly and would happily stay there again.

The Rinno is well located on a quiet street only five minutes walk from the old town. The staff were very pleasant and went out of thier way to be helpfull. My room, a single was quite small but perfectly adequate and very clean. The breakfast is buffet style with a wide variety of food on offer.Once again the staff were helpfull and always asked if you required anything else ie pankakes or a fried breakfast.

My stay was very enjoyable, and I had no complaints whatsoever. The room (upstairs, double bed) was spacious, with two large windows. The minibar contained an alcohol selection, water, and snacks available for a fee. Television included CNN Europe in English, several local channels and other language stations. My room had a writing desk, large stuffed chair with table, and a wardrobe. The bathroom was roomy with a shower and all modern appointments. The room was absolutely spotless; housekeeping was prompt and kept my room in perfect order over my nine-day stay. Breakfast was included in the room price, offered from 7-10 (later hours on the weekend). Breakfast was held in a pleasant dining room off the lobby; there was a spread of fruit, milk, juice, cheeses, cold cuts, cereal, bread, etc and your eggs are cooked to order in the adjoining kitchen. In every case the staff was pleasant, efficient and helpful, and took care of all my questions and requests efficiently and with a smile. American travelers will especially appreciate the ease of staying in this fine hotel. Note: A previous poster commented on the small grocery market nearby... while this is convenient, caution should be exercised crossing the small park to get to the market - I was assaulted by two men in a mugging attempt as I walked through the park. This has nothing to do with hotel of course and could happen anywhere. The hotel itself seemed completely secure and is staffed 24 hrs. The previous poster also mentioned the strip club next door - it is not a noise problem or even noticeable from inside the hotel... it is however notorious for fleecing foreigners, so caveat emptor!

Great hotel in a great location. Small hotel and pretty. Rooms are a nice size and are clean by any standard. Each room has an American-style private bathroom with shower, toilet, sink, hair dryer, and a heated towel bar. Complimentary breakfast is oh so yummy! And, the staff of the hotel is great. They speak great English. Some speak Polish and most speak Russian, I think. We stayed 2 weeks at the hotel. The staff also is very responsive to email correspondence for reservations. The hotel will send a car to pick you up at the airport on arrival at no cost to you (except we did tip). We had no problems with our reservations, transportation, or billing. Just a great experience. Hotel staff helped us figure out and self arrange bus trips by the public bus. They called the bus station for us and got times, etc...things our language barriers hindered us from doing on our own.

Very nice location in old town. Close walk to bus and train station and to all the old town shops and restaurants. Very safe and would recommend for single women as the hotel is small enough to know you.

We will stay at this hotel on our next visit.

I have just returned from a brief trip to Vilnius, which was most enjoyable. A major factor in my enjoyment of the trip was my stay at Hotel Rinno.
This is a small, but professionally run hotel. My room was large, spotlessly clean and nicely furnished, with prints by local artists on the walls. The bathroom was also spotless, with brand new fittings.
I'm sure you can get all that at some of the bigger hotels in Vilnius, but what really made this hotel stand out for me was the service. The staff were excellent.
The receptionists were eager to help - and friendly, too. They made me feel very welcome, and nothing was too much trouble for them. The waitresses at breakfast were also very pleasant and it was difficult deciding each morning whether to have the freshly made herby omlette or the pancakes filled with bananas (or apples) and cinnamon. I noticed that one waitress took great care to make sure that another guest had her soft-boiled eggs done exactly right.

The location is good: the hotel is just at the edge of the Old Town, so not noisy at night and convenient for walking to all the major sights of Vilnius. The bus and railway stations are a ten-minute walk away, if that. There is also a convenience store around the corner.
The only slight negative, location-wise, is that there is a strip club in the basement. But it seemed to be quite a discreet club, no hordes of drunken stag-parties. And if the presence of a strip-club bothered you, you wouldn't be coming to Vilnius, right?
