“The keyword here is HILL”

You'll get more than enough exercise on this steep walk to the top. People complain that it’s not worth it because it’s the same height as Gediminas, but there’s not a ton to do in Vilnius so if you have the time, you might as well go for it. Go at a different time of day from Gediminas to see different views of the skyline.

“Lovely place”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

Nice place to watch the sunset over the Vilnius oldtown. Make sure you have enough time to climb the stairs to catch the sunset cause it's really not fun to run up so high.

“Historic location overlooking the city”
Reviewed December 9, 2013

A good walk up, if a little unsafe in places with the steps decaying - so need to watch step if accessing from the river/ direction of the tower.

The site of older wooden crosses and then of replacements which were removed by the soviets. The new crosses are a bit lost on the wooded hillside. Good view though.

no facilities at this location.

Lovely park and great view from the top - take a drink though as no refreshments available in the park.

“Great view, with a free workout thrown in!”
Reviewed November 4, 2013

The three crosses are within easy walking distance from the Old Town area, but up quite a steep hill, so you'll have a good aerobic workout by the time you get up there. The view is great, and the crosses tell an interesting story. They were originally wooden, then concrete, which were blown up by the Soviets. Fragments remain of those, which were replaced by the current ones.
I enjoyed the little trek up the hill almost as much as the destination.
