A must see but also to be taken with a grain of salt, chequered past of the soviet times, although historically correct, not everything was bad in the Soviet times.

I have never been so moved. The basement tour of the torture prision left me dumbfounded. The inhumanity of man was never so close. When the tour guide was asked whether the cells were heated, he said "only in the Summer".

As an ex prison officer I expected a much more horrific exhibition from a former KGB torture chamber. But found it rather tame stuff

Everyone raved about this museum, but I found it pretty gimmicky. There wasn't a coherent line of thought, which is too bad. The information and displays were not so interesting. I was really disappointed (although everyone else seemed to like it).

A no-frills, undramatic but compelling account of life in some of the darkest days in Lithuania's history. A reminder of the banality of man's inhumanity to man.
