Lithuania's history is complex and better understood by visiting as many public places as possible. This museum left one thinking why human beings can be so cruel to each other.

I can only add to other reviewers comments. Humbling and compelling. Give it 2 hours to do it justice. So glad that we visited this place.

A vividly presented account of a chilling history, so dark that when you step outside you wonder if you really have gone back into a world in which these things happened.

You will need at least two hours to give this museum justice and understand the brutality of humans. The cost is next to nothing so just go!

GIves you a proper grounding on life in Lithuania under the Soviet repression. Very humbling experience. Our English speaking guide added personal touches and interjected some humor ot an otherwise somber experience. Don't recommend for young children. There's a video on executions that is graphic but needs to be. No pictures allowed by the way.
