From pre-arrival to post departure, this hotel certainly looks after its guests. Upon request, they sent a car to collect me from the airport, a nice guy in a Mercedes eagerly awaited my arrival. On route to the hotel, he was awash with local information and tips on the local area.
Check in was fast, efficient and, again, friendly.
The room was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The mini bar was full and reasonably priced. Even though the hotel is on a busy corner, the outside noise was barely auduble. There was a good selection of TV channels for visitors from many countries.
Bar staff were very friendly and chatty, as were the restaurant staff. The food quality was very good for a Holiday Inn. I ate at the hotel twice and was not disappointed.
Check out was at 12 noon, which is better than most hotels and welcome as my return flight was not until 2pm. Their driver took me back to the airport and wished me safe onward journey.
If you are visiting here you would be a fool not to choose this hotel. I wish some British hotel owners would visit and see just how much this efficient service makes a difference to a traveller.

Holiday Inn Vilnius is representant of European standard hotel style: from wooden veneer room furniture to the interiors of lobby bar and restaurant. It is reasonable but impersonal. I don´t like to have dinner in that kind of restaurant.
But: everything is working. Rooms are quite large, breakfast ok, staff ok. Receptionist in our arrival didn´t speak much English but we both spoke Russian so we had no problem.
Hotel is situated outside the Old Town. but not far from main street Gedimino.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Vilnius for five nights in late August and early September. The hotel was easy to locate because we contacted the hotel in advance and a staff member emailed us a map showing the location of the hotel (we arrived via LuxExpress Bus from Latvia at the Panorama Shopping Center and were able to walk to the hotel). The hotel is located on Seimyniskiu Street about three blocks from the Neris River. After crossing the Neris River via the Green Bridge, you enter Vilnius’ Old Town almost immediately.

As part of our check-in at the Holiday Inn, we were given a touring map (we also got a more detailed map from a Tourist Information Office). Staff members at the Holiday Inn were very helpful and provided assistance both with touring and using public transit. Just about everyone at the hotel is fluent in English and it is widely spoken over most of Lithuania. A major bus/trolley stop is located just before the Green Bridge.

Because we were Platinum Priority Club members, we were upgraded to an Executive Floor room (thank you!)! It was very large and modern and we had a great view of the Old Town. Our room rate included an excellent breakfast buffet. It included hot items (i.e., scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, sausages, real porridge) and cold items (i.e., marinated salmon, meats & cheeses, fresh fruits, tomatoes, cucumbers, yogurt, cereal) and a variety of delicious breads. Coffee and/or hot tea was available in addition to a variety of juices as well as bottled water (carbonated and non-carbonated).

As noted earlier, the Holiday Inn’s location makes it easy to get to Old Town. After crossing the river, if you walk several blocks farther you will come to Gedimino Street. If you turn left there, you will reach a major square with the beautiful Vilnius Cathedral and Bell Tower. Nearby is a Tourist Information Office where personnel can provide guidance for touring, etc. Due to the proximity of public transit to the hotel, we also were able to visit Trakai Castle (about 28km from Vilnius) on our own. This is one of the principal tourist attractions in Lithuania and should not be missed! We took a bus to the Central Bus Station and from there caught a bus to Trakai. It was an easy walk to the Castle. Then, we reversed our route to return back to the hotel. Hotel staff (or Tourist Information Office personnel) will be glad to help you with this.

Also, there are several supermarkets near the Holiday Inn if you need beverages, snacks, etc. An IKI is two blocks from the hotel on the way to the Neris River; a Rimi Market is located in a Galleria on Gedimino Street; and a Maxima Market is located a couple of blocks away in the Europa Mall on Konstitucijos Street. All of these sell not only food products and drinks but also beer (excellent in Lithuania), wine and a great variety of liquors at reasonable prices.

We happened to be there during the “City Fiesta” (yes, fiesta) which featured numerous song and dance groups performing outdoors at many venues (for free) along Gedimino Street which was closed to traffic and became a pedway. It also featured multiple food and handicrafts in stalls throughout the venues. We were able to get a schedule from a Tourist Information booth and went to several of the performances. They were all outstanding and lots of fun!

Lastly, we had an early departure and we advised hotel reception the night before that we would be leaving at 5:45AM. Upon check-out, we were each given a “breakfast box” which included water, juice, yoghurt, a sandwich and a muffin. It was a very nice parting gesture since the hotel restaurant didn’t open until 6:30AM. We recommend the Holiday Inn and will stay there again when we return to Vilnius.

Having witnessed the transformation of Holiday Inn Vilnius into what is now a shining example of how a proper hotel should look like, there is no other hotel in Vilnius I would consider staying in besides this. The food and drinks in the newly refurbished bar and restaurant, the upgraded and comfortable rooms, and the cheerful service minded and solution oriented staff at your disposal around the clock, makes this hotel a natural choice to stay when visiting Vilnius.
Note that if you’re in doubt of the location, remember that it is strategically located by the beautiful river banks (spring/summer), within a walking distance to the Old Town, and a close proximity of modern shopping malls.

Stayed for 2 nights here. Location isn't exactly ideally placed (its not in the city centre) when you're a tourist but when on business it's a good place to stay. Comfortable atmosphere, very friendly staff and a spacious room. Looked to be recently refurbished as well, all good and I would even call it above Holiday Inn standard. Also very quiet at night even though it's on a busy street so definitely good windows! Restaurant was great and also very affordable, didn't use the breakfast.

I stayed here for a total of 9 nites over 2 stays that were almost back to back. I paid an average of 50 Euros per nite. It is unlikely you will get this rate because I ahve a special rate with Priority Club. But at this price, this hotel is excellent value. And hotels are all about good value.

The location is very good. It is not in Old Town, but then it is unlikely one could get any hotel of this category at this price in Old Town. But it is an easy 10-12 min walk to Cathedral Square and a further 5 mins and you are in Old Town. In good weather, it is a very pleasant walk over the Green Bridge.

The hotel itself is sleek and modern and surprisingly spacious rooms. At least on the Executive Floor where I was upgraded due to my Platinum status. Of course, with all Holiday Inns outside the USA, breakfast is not included, and at 12 Euros is pretty steep in a city that is not too expensive to eat out. I did not have breakfast even once. A 10 min walk and you had a choice of many different cafes.

Also, surprisingly (though I guess not for Baltic countries that are among the most wifi friendly countries I have come across) there is no extra charge for wifi, and it was blazing fast speed.

The service was pleasant and courteous throughout. However, on more than 1 ocassion, housekeeping did a shoddy job by not replacing all the pillows properly on the bed and hanging the bathrobe back in the bathroom. Yes, this Holiday Inn had bathobes, and slippers!

The only real issue I had was that the mattress was too soft for my liking. But then I found this to be a problem in almost all hotels in these countries.

An excellent choice in Vilnius if you can get a rate of less than 75 Euros.

I've been staying (better say living) in this modern hotel for a quite long term (18 mo) and it was a very pleasant time, because staff treated me like a close relative always providing the excellent service.
During my stay I was the witness of constant (but not bothering) renovations, upgrades and service improvements in all fields.
All hotel staff (including cleaning ladies and management) were always friendly and helpful no matter what kind of my request was.
Truly, this is the best Holiday Inn in Europe I have ever seen.

Room Tip: if you enjoy a great views, ask for a room on 4,5,6 floor towards Kalvariju street.
