Travelled to Vilnius for a city break with a Group of 12 friends to celebrate a 50th Birthday. As organiser of the trip, I found that the staff at Vivulskio were excellent to deal with via email and were able to accommodate all our needs. The rooms were very tastfully decorated, comfortable and were spotlessly clean. The staff were available 24hrs on reception and were without exception friendly and helpful. The appartments are located about 10/15 minutes walk from the centre of town in a nice location which was part offices part residential. There are cafes and a supermarket just a minute or so away. All of us in the party are seasoned city break travellers and we all thought both the appartments and the city were great. I would love to go back there some day - and would use the same appartments.
Just a little about Vilnius. What a delightful city - I've been on lots of city breaks in Europe and this has got to be up there with the best. A place with something for everyone - lots of contrasts. One minute you are in a grand square - a few minutes later in quaint narrow streets, a few minutes on an you are in a rural setting surronded by trees and a river. At night it is has a lively cosmopolitan feel - with hundreds of great restaurants and bars to choose from.

This place is about a 15 min walk from downtown, but for the price it's worth the walk (there's also a really interesting looking church on the walk, complete with bright green Russian-eque turrets). The rooms are still looking reasonably fresh (that "newly renovated chic on a budget" look) and everything was quite clean. There is someone manning the front desk at all times and we had no trouble arriving quite late and leaving very early. Stay here and save your cash for some great Lithuanian food!

Stayed here recently on our trip throughout the Baltics. Not sure why there are referred to us as apartments since they lack many of the amenities that I would expect in an apartment at least by western standards. I would consider this to be a basic hotel type accommodation. Our room was ok. The location of this place is pretty good. It is within easy walking distance of the old town area. There is a large Maxima grocery store close by. The negatives for this place is that our room had no air flow in it meaning there was no fan. You had to open the window to get any fresh air. The room didn't have a fridge but the person at the desk indicated we could store stuff in one of their fridges if we needed too. Many of the people working the reception desk were nice but it was a different person each day (we were there three nights). Some of the people working the desk couldn't speak English. We also received conflicting answers regarding their laundry service which is not on site. They send it out which is fine but each person we asked quoted us different prices and different times for when it would be ready. It would take at least a day to have it returned if you drop it off in the morning. The staff members that did speak English were very helpful though. They helped us print bus tickets and call a taxi for us on the day we left. Other negative is that our room was on the ground level and it could be a little noisy at time but not too bad. Overall, I would recommend it considering the location but just come to expect that it is really a basic hotel and not an apartment.

Do want to let readers be aware that they need to very careful with taxi drivers especially if arriving from the airport. I am not holding it against this place but we were ripped off by our taxi driver that took us from the airport. The driver already had the meter running and charged us double what we should have paid. We've taken taxis in numerous cities in the world and got a little careless. Always make sure you contact the hotel first and get an estimate and have them speak to the driver too when paying to help ensure that you are not getting ripped off. If they'll arrange the taxi for you all the better. It is apparently pretty common to be taken advantage off by taxi drivers in Vilnius because I have noticed this topic on many travel related websites.

Room Tip: Might want to see if they rooms not on the ground floor. Can get a little noisy with street traffic...

Vivulskio apartments were our first accommodation on our trip through the Baltic States and it was the best one.
The hotel is very nice, very well decorated, with style.
Every room has its own name, e.g. "blueberry room" is decorated in purple tones. Even a kettle was purple when turned on:)
There was a kettle with coffee and tea bags in the room.
As we also stayed here on our return, we got "green apple room" which was in green colours, as you can assume:)
These are small things but make you feel comfortable.
The price is very affordable. Comparing it to some other hotels for the same price, this one really makes the difference.

Rooms and bathroom are impeccably clean. Everything is new, clean and so nice.
Some reviewers mention hard bed. Yes, the bed / the matress was hard but personally I prefer it that way rather than soft and cranky one.

There is no breakfast, better said there is no restaurant for having breakfast. You can order breakfast into your room for 4 euros.
We had breakfast in the nearby restaurant which was great and cheap. They offered coffee and tea free of charge.

The hotel is very, very quiet. Some rooms overlook the street (which is really quiet, no traffic and the others ovelook the parking place).
The hotel is near the city centre (around 15 minutes on foot) and even closer to the big avenue with bars and restaurants.

Staff is very friendly, helpful, nice, hospitable.
There is nothing to complain about in this hotel and I would always recommend it!

Location was about a twenty minute walk from the bus station and a 10 - 15 minute walk to the old town of Vilnius.
Price was good for the hotel (47 Euro for double and breakfast). Breakfast is an additional 4 euro/person and delivered to the room at the time you specify at check in.
Room was very clean, however not ready when we got there after check in time (I even informed the staff of our time of arrival) but no big deal.
Bathroom was also clean but the shower door didn't close that great and we ended up with a huge puddle on the floor.
Bed was pretty hard.
Helpful staff with decent English.
Free Wifi and parking.
5 km (1 hour walk) to airport.

The hotel does not take credit cards, only cash (litas). When booking the hotel I had to leave my credit card number to reserve the room and there was no mention of not taking cards on departure. Wasn't a huge deal just inconvenient, just asked how much the room was in litas and went to the bank down the street to exchange.

A newly built hotel near the city center. In takes 5-10 minutes walk to get to historic places. We were amazed by cosiness of room, amenities at our disposal (free parking, wifi), the service we got (helpful staff, room service, coffee and tea in the reoom). And all of that for cheap price
