“Deserted”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

I walked back and forward along the whole length on a Saturday late morning/early afternoon in November and it was almost deserted. Quite, quite eerie.

“Main Street”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Laisves Alley is appr. 2 km long Kaunas' main street. Not only main street it is - it's also a pedestrian only boulevard which makes a big difference.
You'll have a very nice stroll down the Alley (to or from Old Town). There are lot's of restaurants and coffee shops (check the off-streets also), fashion boutiques and stores along the boulevard. It's got plenty of benches to sit under the trees and bike lane.

“Pedestrian zone”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Laisvves Aleja is where we stayed in Kaunas Hotel It is a very wide and long boulevard (about 3Km) with trees in the middle and shops on either side. Charlie restaurant is also found in this Boulevard. it is worth a visit - good food, inexpensive and rich décor. St Michael catholic church is right at the end of the boulevard. on the other end is the beginning of the Old Town

“Such a post card view!”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

Everything you need is here. Ask for a Kaunas guide before walking here, you'll end up spending the whole day on one street :) Museums, play grounds, shops, galleries, restaurants and cafes will keep you busy.

If you walk through the Boulevard, you'll get to the Old Town. Mind your step, street might be in a lousy condition.
