Owner description: Take our funky retro tour in a legendary 1970’s Czechoslovak car Skoda 105/120 through the off-the-beaten-track places of the communist past, as well as recent transformations in Kosice, the metropolis of eastern Slovakia. Visit vast concrete housing estate areas, neighborhoods of rich and poor, a Cold War shelter, abandoned magnesite factory and railway tunnel. Local insight guaranteed!

Very informative view of what life was like during and after communism. Riding in an old Skoda is a great time traveling experience and ties well with the historical aspect of the tour. Slavo took great care of us and provided us with delicious Eastern European snacks, drinks, and fun conversations. Make sure to get the hazelnut flavor when stopping for ice cream, it's the best! Overall the tour is a must see eye opening experience and is interesting to see the same Lenin statues around the world (the same hidden statue of Lenin on the tour is also in Seattle).
Thank you! Jana & James

My husband and I booked a 4 hour tour with Slavo, which ended up lasting 5 hours! All questions were answered, and a lot of information was given re the history and the current situation in Kosice. We saw interesting buildings, off the beaten track places, and fascinating street art/murals. We also had very welcome snacks and drinks. All very relaxed. The car was fab!! Slavo was excellent. Would highly recommend.

We spent a lovely summers day in the care of Slavo, who gave us an unique and authentic Kosice experience. We learnt how the city had developed and it was a fantastic way to understand Kosice as a whole. Slavo even gave us lots of recommendations for our entire weekend, he was friendly, funny and welcoming. I would definitely recommend!! One highlight for us was just enjoying a beer with Slavo and the delicious peanut chip thingys, in the amazing sunshine and the abandoned factory.

We had a great time with Slavo. Very friendly and personable and open. Very wide ranging tour. Lots of flexibility. Two adults and two twenty-somethings. We all loved it. The Skoda too. Fully as advertised. If you are in Kosice, see old town and also book with Slavo.
