“OUT OF THE COLD, INTO WARM STRUDEL AND HOT COFFEE”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

Amidst the stalls of the Bratislava Christmas market there are great things to eat and drink, but nothing that warms the soul more than the atmosphere, service and food at Kaffe Mayer. On a snowy night in December, we shed our layers of coats, gloves and scarves, and savored incredible cakes and strudels, delicious coffee and hot chocolate, and a couple of special hot drinks with Kirsch, rum and other ingredients destined to keep you warm long after you leave the cafe. Even the 'Biskvit Karamel's' that accompanied our beverages were delightful. Stop. smell the coffee and baking pastries, and enjoy a well-deserved break at Cafe Mayer. Nice restrooms too!

“Desserts galore”
Reviewed December 8, 2012

We dropped in here for tea and cake on a snowy day in Bratislava. They have an extensive range of desserts, and the sacher torte and apple strudel we tried were both excellent. Their wine list isn't great, and the glasses of riesling we tried were far from chilled (but very cheap). All in all, a great spot to call in for a treat in Bratislava.

“Best cafe in the heart of old town”
Reviewed October 30, 2012 via mobile

You may find the best coffees and the most delicious deserts here. It is right at the main town square, Hlavne Nameste. Nostalgic inside, fun sitting outside - watching all tourists and locals passing by. Worth trying!

Loved stopping in for coffee, most delicious hot chocolate and delicious dessert after walking the city. Usually quite full , but wait was never long for a table. Very clean bathrooms in the basement..

“Vintage!”
Reviewed October 23, 2012 via mobile

A bit old and doddery inside for me. Very old school cafe I guess. My other half loved the cake and I didnt find it too bad either. It's very well presented and the service was very good. Good choice of desserts if you'd rather let your meal go down, go for a walk then go here for afters!!
