“Entertaining, cheap and very good”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

It's on the main street in Bratislava, very easy to find.
You will find very good food (soups, dumplings, meat, desserts) for a very reasonable price.
Each room has a different "setting" and the menu card tells you about it.
English speaking staff.
Worth visiting when in Bratislava!!

“Don't Miss The Garlic Soup!”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

We arrived at sometime around 7 without reservation. It was really nice that they had a non-smoking area, otherwise we would have choked on the smoke the people in there were puffing like crazy.
I had garlic soup in a bowl (3.5 Euro!!) and my friend had a dish that looked like Chinese dumplings stuffed with cheese. (No, it's not halusky). Both tasted... "Cheesy" ;) Seriously. Even the soup had a lot of cheese in it, and it was the best combination ever. So if you go to this restaurant, don't forget to order garlic soup!
Too bad we weren't Slovak University students; there was a special discount for them.
But even without the discount, the 2 dishes and beverages (mineral water, cola) costed only 10.9 euro!!

“You must try it!”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

Fair price, great slovak food, good service, fantastic beer! It's by far the best option to try the local food. If you stay for only a day (or less) in Bratislava, go there for lunch or dinner and you will have a better slovak experience!

“meh”
Reviewed February 28, 2013

if you're in the city for 24 hours - then sure, come here, because you won't have the chance to have real Slovak food. this is mostly pre-processed and i avoid almost anything "traditional" because i know better. i recommend the soups - especially the garlic soup in a bread bowl.

service is hit or miss.

a group of friends tried to have a weekly meeting here which quickly fell apart simply because nobody likes to return to this place over and over.

like i said though, for a tourist passing through, its a quick and fun experience with the decor, etc.

go if you're in the neighborhood, dont go out of your way for it.

“Good option”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

Typical Slovak food in lovely ambient of the old times. Good service, tasty meals, and very good prices for the capital city. Located in the heart of the city on the busy street . Don't be afraid and try some traditional Slovak meals :)
