“So very few tourists...”
Reviewed March 1, 2013

...it is wonderful. May be that is just a typical February experience. The outgoing Czech president was in town so may be folk were elsewhere!

Really worth climbing the tower of the City Museum and allow plenty of time.

“Small but charming!”
Reviewed February 28, 2013

Old Town is small compared to Prague's Old Town; however, it is very charming. We were there just before Christmas and enjoyed the visiting the Christmas markets daily. The statues located throughout Old Town aren't to be missed!

“Charming atmosphere”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

In the summer time the streets in downtown are full or terraces offering great traditional food and drinnks. Often you can find musicians playing around creating nice mood. While walking in old town don´t forget to look also up on the various buildings or palaces form Austrio-Hungarian times. On several streets you can discover statues in funny positions connected to the history of the city (like Napoleon on the Main square, Papparazi and many others..just look around ;) I reccomend to walk also off the main streets to find small vine bars and narrow streets. You can also look for the small golden coins in the pathway which symbloize golden crown route where king where walking during coronation ceremony (each summer there is a festival of this ceremony, Bratislava was once a coronate city for Autrio-Hungarian monarchs). After long walk you will welcome some café and sandwich in very stylish typically slovak-fashioned cafeteria Shtoor at the crossroad of Venturska and Panska. When you will not know the way, look for BKIS office (close to the magistrate and Primacial palace with red coloured painting) where you will recieve free tourist map in many laguages. And when you arrive by car think abou leaving your car in the shopping center Aupark (for free) and walk trouh the "Novy most" (that one ith UFO tower) and you are directly in the city.

“Walk through the beautilful Bratislava”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

I can recommend visiting the Old Town. I dont know what else to write. Maybe you should look at the Main square, Bratislava castle, National theatre (the old building). Those are the best and most awesome sights of old town. But there are obviously more of the old buildings. I recommend visiting the pages about the sights separately and visiting the town itself in summer.
