One of the things you should do when you're walking around Bratislava is look for statues! They're all over and at the oddest of places!
We were searching for a Michael's gate and had lost our way, when a very helpful local girl offered to take us there. While we had read about funny statues, it was she who told us that he had a name- Cumil (pronounced as Chumil). She told us that as the story goes, he was a mischievous person who while working, used to emerge from under the manhole to look beneath the ladies' skirts!
The status's head was knocked over a couple of times by vehicles in the dark, so Cumile was rebuilt a few times.
Pose for a few pictures while you're near Michael's Gate and don't forget to touch his head for good luck! :)
