It's an Ibis. Clean and tidy, pretty comfortable, reasonably priced, and this Ibis has a great location, just 200m from the old town. There was a small café just over the road for a coffee and small breakfast. The hotel was just what we wanted for a weekend stay.
Thank you for your feedback. All my team is happy that you enjoyed your stay in Ibis Bratislava Centrum. Once visiting Bratislava in the near future just drop in and we will do the best to make your stay as enjoyable as the previous one. We are all looking forward to welcoming you in our hotel. Spacious rooms, quiet sleeping, unique siting under the Bratislava castle and next to old (and lively) town with decent pricing and neat breakfasts make IBIS hot candidate for 100% rating. But then you will start noticing troubling details: expensive parking space, although eager but apparently significantly understaffed personnel, battered and extremely narrow hallways, WiFi with ads, etc. And as sugar on top: all walls are plastered with Accor ads and wanna-be motivational signs - which feels extremely strange and awkward. Like someone trying to hide broken leg with forced smile.
Excellence is in details - and this is not the case.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Ibis Bratislava Centrum. I will surely share your comments with our team and we will try to find a proper solutions for corrections especially focusing on the details. Once again thank you for giving us a chance to improve through your valuable feedback. I do hope that we will have the chance to welcome you back in our hotel. Kind regards, Peter DOLINSKY
The hotel is situated in a perfect location - 5-10 minutes from the castle and 2 minutes from the old city center. The reception personnel is helpful and they all speak English (I also heard German). The minimalist furniture doesn't take too much space and it is more than enough. The extra couch in the room is a practical choice and there are lights, plugs and switches practically arranged around the room. The WiFi was working fine (even though sometimes slower) and without interruptions, on a daily authentication basis. The air conditioning unit seemed to work fine - we only needed it once.
The room is small (from the photos it looks larger because of the wide lens), sometimes the personnel enters without even knocking and there is no mini bar. The tramway is passing right by and more, our room was facing the tunnel - this will lead to terrible noises. There is nothing soft near the bed (like a small carpet) or anywhere in the room and most of the times there was dust on the floor. Instead, the bed is uncomfortably soft. They do not use the small towels in the bathroom, only large ones (we specifically asked for them and we got 2 more large towels). And sometimes the bathroom carpet (white and thicker) was replaced by a large towel. The shower cabin fills immediately with water and, due to its model, there will always be wet spots in the bathroom. The shower gel seemed diluted and the hand wash was actually a shampoo. The hair drier model is inefficient and the only waste bin in the room is a small one (without a bag).

Stayed here for 2 nights bed and breakfast, and had quite low expectations for the price paid.
Getting here from the train station is very cheap and easy, by taking the 93 bus for 3 stops. Bus stop is very close to this hotel and the fare was about 64 pence.
Check in with a polite young man was quick and easy. Check out was also good, by a nice friendly man on reception. He spoke good English and was very cheerful and chatty. Both gave a good initial/final impression.
The room is simple and basic. We could hear a lot of noise from the people in the next room. Maybe they were just noisy neighbours but they kept banging doors which was making the water bottle in our room shake like the scene on Jurassic Park! Could also hear their child crying.
Bed wasn't too bad but the bedding isn't great quality.
Air conditioner worked throughout the stay which was essential as it was very hot outside.
Breakfast was the highlight of this hotel. It is in a cute, charming room and offered a good choice of foods. Quality was good and this was a really enjoyable experience.
Location is also very good. It is only a short walk to the castle and the historic centre, which is all very pleasant. There is a Tesco and a Subway not too far away.
Overall this exceeded our expectations, mainly due to the lovely breakfast experience. Would stay here again.
Thank you for your very kind words. They are very much appreciated and my team will be delighted to hear that you enjoyed yourselves in Ibis Bratislava Centrum. I look forward to welcoming you back at our hotel. Kind regards, Peter DOLINSKY
Stayed for one night and believe this room is good value for money but the air conditioning in the room as well as the circulation of air in the room requires improvement. At times the room felt very stuffy.
