“A little gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

I agree with everything that previous reviewers have written. The cleanliness, service and general attitude of all the staff was exceptional and many hotel chains could do well to emulate the Marrol's example. Although sited in a less than salubrious street, the hotel is within a 5 minute walk from the city square, the old opera house and the dock for the high speed boats to Vienna. The welcome drink offered while checking in was much appreciated and I was astounded to find that the mini bar was free! I only had one meal in the hotel but it was excellent.

My only reservation about writing such a glowing review is that the hotel might become too popular and I might find making another reservation difficult.

Stayed here at the end of April for a business trip and was knocked out, not only by the customer service but that the staffs personality shone out. Way too many hotels want staff to beam smiles and be almost robotic which is annoying to say the least. Not here!

The room was fantastic and we ate at the restaurant. The food at the restaurant was knockout to say the least. I'm sure that there's many places to eat out but we were tired and didn't have the time.

Yes it was a very good hotel. We arrived early and the lovely English speaking receptionist insisted on checking us in to our room.exceptional housekeeping here and still adhere to the five star tradition of turndown.wonderful! However one gripe. The house maids are dressed in French maids mini skirts.we are in 2013!how demeaning for them. They are the front line of the hotel and are terrific workers.please let then dress more appropriately.lunch in the restaurant was lovely but the serves vere very small. Breakfast was lovely but also rationed. I would recommend this hotel but some changes should be made. I would stay here again .

This is the place to stay in Bratislava, the hotel is in pristine condition, everything a traveller could need is here. Beautiful room, twin as requested, lovely décor, spacious well appointed bathroom, mini bar and everything inside it is free, yes free !! I've never come across this before at any of the places I have visited and its not just water. Stay here and see for yourself. The staff are excellent and most concerned that your stay is perfect.

Room Tip: We only stayed one night, the room was lovely and at the front of the hotel but there was no traffic...

The staff are all very helpful and friendly. The rooms were good and the free minbar was a nice touch. Don't expect a full bar as its stocked with wine beer chocolate and water. Perfectly acceptable for a free bar.

Breakfast was fairly typical - fatty bacon, strange tasting sausages and scrambled eggs you would be better off with a straw rather than a fork.

It's near the centre but not too near as to be noisy. It's a hotel I would recommend and go back to.

This is part of a continuing series of my impressions and experiences staying at various hotels and resorts while traveling to attend concerts worldwide. This stay was during my extension trip throughout Eastern Europe and London in May and June 2013. This review is for Marrol's Boutique Hotel Bratislava.

This was my first visit to Bratislava, and I choose this property based on positive reviews on TripAdvisor.

I came in via rental car, and it was fairly easy to find with GPS. There is on site parking, driving through a rising door and below the hotel itself. It is a very narrow one-way path to drive down, and the corners are tight and the parking spaces even tighter. There is no valet, just self park, so I would recommend caution navigating this parking option. It worked out fine for me, but it is really, really tight to navigate (though I had a mid-sized Mercedes - not the typical super compact European car).

Everyone I encountered on staff was very pleasant and professional.

The property truly feels "boutique" with a lot of character - a really fun place to stay.

The room was fairly well-sized with ample room for luggage and walking around. While not "modern", there were a lot of special touches such as original artwork and such.

There are a lot of amenities in the room, such as a DVD player, small fridge, and more.

I did not have time to take advantage to some of the onsite amenities.

The location is nice - lots of great places all around that are walking distance. It felt very safe all around, and offered a lot of opportunity to explore Bratislava.

I would highly recommend this property and hope to return some day for a longer stay.
