“Charming, warm and homey”
Reviewed December 30, 2007

Three girlfriends and I stayed at the Hotel Marrols for one night while en route between Prague and Budapest, and we absolutely adored it.
It feels like an elegant home, and the lobby area was so inviting, with a fire in the fireplace, and staff who would bring us hot chocolate (HIGHLY recommended).
Very comfortable rooms - crisp linens, and cozy robes.
Great location - roughly 2 blocks from the main square, and on a very quiet sidestreet.
*Fantastic breakfast buffet with eggs, salmon, yogurt, pastries, fruit, etc.

A small hotel about 10 minutes walk from the central square. Room was warm, clean and inviting. The reception staff are very helpful and there was a log fire to welcome you, given we visited in December it was lovely. Breakfast was buffet style and very good, we did not eat in for dinner. Bratislava is small and you can easily see all the sites in 2 days, it's worth climbing up to the castle. The Christmas markets are fun but obviously not on the same scale as Vienna. Am easy excursion by train from Vienna.

I reserved one room that would accomodate three adults. When we arrived at the hotel, the young woman at the reception desk, Jane, told me that they had upgraded our room and that we would be very pleased. Pleased was an understatement! We were given a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment that included a kitchen, living room and dining room. We were also treated to a complimentary drink when we arrived and breakfast was included the following morning in their beautifully appointed dining room. The breakfast was spectacular. Since we arrived just after 2:00 p.m. there were no tours of the city available so Jane made several calls and arranged a private tour guide for us. This is a wonderful place to stay, it is convenient, the room was outstanding, the staff were so gracious and helpful. Without a doubt I can recommend this hotel.

My wife and I stayed at the Marrol's for 5 nights in the Grand Suite and it was truly grand! We had booked the Garden Suite but I was contacted prior to our arrival that they had someone interested in a long term rental of the room. We were upgraded to the Grand Suite at no additional charge. Free minibar, free bottles of wine in the room, free internet access with computer in the bedroom, free drinks upon arrival! We ate at the hotel and it was one of the best meals we had in Bratislava. I highly recommend the Marrol's and we will certainly stay there again on our next trip to Slovakia.

This is a top notch stylish boutique hotel by any European standard, well located for the old town in a relatively quiet street. The rooms are slightly on the small side and lacked a well lit magnifying mirror in the bathroom for shaving and make-up . But the beds are wide and comfortable, the mini bar free, the bathroom complimentary nicknacks and chocolates every night generous, the flat screen television wall- mounted and well positioned, the bedroom pc and high speed connection a boon.
The dining room is beautifully appointed and breakfast has a good choice. Pity that one very rude waiter thought it such an imposition to rustle up an extra cappuccino. Hopefully he's been rehabilitated because he let an otherwise superb team very badly down.

stayed mid october for 1 night (couldnt get booked in for the 10 days in Slovakia). Stayed in other high end hotels but they do not compare. A perfect hotel.
For dinner I used Kogo & the Argentian Steak House nearby
