“Interesting Visit”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

There's an exhibition about Slovakia in the 1960's which illustrates the various ways in which Slovaks reacted to communist rule. Much of the displays are were written in Slovak but there are curators/museum workers who were keen to give English translations on print outs or verbally. Third floor was about The White Lady of Levoca and the top two floors were about Biodiversity!

“Unfortunatelly Nothing special here”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

I have visited this museum one week ago and to be honest there is nothing special. I do not know or maybe it just me but I found it very boring. There is nothing interactive in this museum. On the other hand, my kids were pretty happy to see all those animals because they were not moving so they could see them very well.
There is also Children’s museum form other side of the building but it is not really museum for kids it is more like children’s corner in a shopping mall. If you have small kid they will love it and you can have coffee there, too. Children’s museum was even more expensive than the national museum.

not as big as some museums in Europe, but still worth the visit. Nice walk through the nature knowledge.

“Dont do this on a hot day”
Reviewed September 11, 2012

There is disparity betwwen the address shown and the map.The map shows that this is the Natural History Museum near the river but the address is that of the castle.I will review the Natural History museum as others have done. This contains much that you would expect in a museum of this type.Lots of stuffed animals and expositions about the way the area was formed. The main disappointment is the failure to drag museums like this into the 21st Century in terms of exposition. It is very old fashioned as is the building. It was a very hot day and the building felt like a sauna. So i just had to give up as the heat was overpowering.
