“A real gem”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

My wife and I spent a few nights in this delightful wine bar in August 2013. Small and tucked away in a narrow street, it is a real gem. The owner, Martin, is a wonderful host with a great knowledge of wine and we were both very surprised by the quality of the local wines he suggested - and there were quite a few. Well worth making the effort to search it out. Two of our children were with us for our first, short, visit and were made to feel very welcome.

“A Unique Wine Tasting Experience”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

Just got back from a trip to Bratislava, where we had a really nice tasting at Grand Cru Wine Gallery. This little wine bar is right at the bend of Zamocnicka, with a few small signs outside advertising local wine within. The tasting was by the glass, and our glasses were each around 2.80 or 2.90 Euro, a steal for the quality of the experience. We tried all kinds of local Slovakian wine, and the shop owner was great, very knowledgeable and friendly.

I've done wine tastings in many other places in the world, and this was one of my favorite tastings because it was a classy shop but without pretension, and had wine I couldn't taste anywhere else.

After having dinner in a nearby restaurant, visiting Grand Cru Wine Gallery was the perfect way to end a relaxing day in Bratislava.

“Great place for wine tasting”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

We went to Grand Cru Wine Gallery while in Bratislava. It is small and hard to miss. The first day we walking by and it was not open (It is only open at night). There are only 3-4 small tasting tables on the main floor, but it has a basement with more room. They have a large selection of good local wines. There is only a 2-3 euro charge per glass and they pour a good sized glass of wine. We had about 5-6 glasses and the manager waived the tasting fee since I purchased a couple of bottles of wine.

“Wonderful place”
Reviewed May 8, 2013 via mobile

Had a great evening here, very charming host. Plenty of choice of good local wines and a clever way of serving it, the bottle is left on your table and then you are charged for what you drink rather than having too keep ordering drinks.
Only appears open in the evenings so you won't notice it during the day , but well worth the visit!!

“Very nice wine bar”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

Following dinner we visited this place to taste some local wine. The host asked us a few questions around our interest, taste and preferences and tailor made a small wine tasting. He accompanied the beautiful wine with his knowledge as well as some local, tasty cheese. A very nice introduction into the local variety of wine!
It was not cheap, but reasonable priced and definitely worthwhile visit if you have some interest in wine including Slovakian wine.
Please note, that this is not a restaurant as such; it is best to arrive with full stomachs :-).
