“Good location and does the job.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

Stayed there for a few nights last week. I agree with previous contributor - "Very close to Castle and Old Town. Receptionist was friendly and helpful. No noise from street". I didnt notice that "walls were thin (could hear everything in next room), ants in shower", However .... the breakfast was not great (but was included). My main gripe was that the en suite toilet was not clean on our arrival which left me wondering how clean the rest of the room / bathroom was. On the plus side the location is good, staff friendly and helpful, there was air con in the room and wifi and it didnt cost the earth.

Room Tip: We stayed in the 'Opera' room at the top of the stairs. Two single beds set out end to end...

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

Stayed here for one night on a whistle-stop tour of the city. Amazingly comfy beds, sparkling cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff and all for less than 10 euros. The only thing that could be improved would be having juice with breakfast. Tea and coffee is great (the coffee was amazing!) but some people need juice! It was also a little too warm, but the air-con was on minimum so I imagine that can be fixed easily.
Ignore the poor review, this person obviously stayed in a different hostel. There is no terms and conditions agreement, drinking in the hostel is fine and fun is encouraged!

This hostel is perfect for students, it's really cheap, but has everything you need.
The rooms are very nice, good beds, nice small bathroom.
The people are so friendly! They would help you with everything!
Breakfast is small, but it's good and enough.
The location is also great! It's 2 min walking to the old centre and the castle is 5 min away. The bus station is also very close!
I had a great time and would love to go back!

Room Tip: You can sleep in a shared room, but the private rooms are only a little bit more expensive and have...

Me and my friend only spent 2 nights here and while they were comfortable, the hostel was horrendously overpriced compared to others within the city. We were made to sign a lengthy terms & conditions agreement on arrival - the details of which outlined that any drinking/fun in the hostel was prohibited. We also booked the hostel on the belief that guitars were readily available for guests to use (we're both musicians and hadn't touched an instrument for weeks - withdrawals were imminent). There were no guitars. There was nothing to drink. There was often no toilet roll. Go somewhere else, perhaps with an atmosphere.

Room Tip: Rooms outwith the hostel and contained within other hostels are preferable.

Our whole family really enjoyed staying at this very nice, friendly and clean hostel. We had a nice family room upstairs, which although basic was very affordable, perfectly adequate and we all slept well. Very good location just below the castle and a short walk to the old city. A basic but quite ok breakfast is included in the price. Our children enjoyed the games, like table football, and there was free internet too.

Really great nice new and clean. The only problems is that there is only 1 toilet, no changing for shower and no kitchen facilities except a microwave , not even a sink. Wifi great. Lockers provided for security.
