“Fine penzion for fine price”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

We in Penzion Berg in May,2013.We have economic room on the first floor .
This room was very clean and big.Bathroom was ok.Only view from tne room was in a warehouse.
Penzion was located in a good location, but you have to go by car to the city center .
Panzion have free parking , the only way to it and Penzion is full of holes and dusty.
Breakfast is decent. Considering the price, a good choice for one or two nights.

We stayed at Penzion Berg in July, 2013.
Overall we thought it was a cheap and nice hotel.

The location of the hotel was definitely off from the centre if you are walking (30 min), however you will find yourself in a nice and genuinely local area. We did not try any local transports but the train station Bratislava Petrazalka was very close which was very convenient for us when leaving.
The breakfast was good IF you ordered a mix plate with cold cuts, but without that it would have been a bit poor as cold cuts were not included otherwise.
The room we had was spacious but the walls were dirty and stained with dead and bloody mosquitoes from earlier inhabitants. This was a bit odd as the rest of the hotel was very nice, proper and nicely decorated.
The service was inhibited by the language skills of the receptionist who could not answer our questions in English.

I was in Bratislava last december 2012, This hotel was nice, peaceful. Not much recreational activities, gud for sleeping or for weekend only if u r not alone. I spent late night in city and came to this hotel just for sleeping. I tried food here. Since I am pure vegetarian, very few options were there for me , so I tried Pasta. It was fantastic.

We were recommended this hotel by someone who lived in the area and it turned out to be just what we needed! Three of us were travelling on a weekend break and stayed in one of the triple rooms for two nights. Rooms were basic but clean, tidy and had everything we needed for the weekend. Towels and soaps were included which was a plus. The receptionists were incredibly helpful and friendly (helped us print off our flight details!) and the reception seemed to be open all night long. A cooked breakfast of our choice and a buffet were included in the price (amazing value- I think we ended up paying around 15euros per night), served in a lovely dining area. Only downside was that it was a little far out of town and the surrounding area is very industrial, not exactly scenic. However there's a cheap bus into the city that runs frequently.

This guesthouse is situated at the end of an industrial estate on the southern side of the Danube, the opposite side to the historical centre. This all might put some people off, but bus 80 stops nearby and has you in the centre in 10 minutes, the rooms are clean and warm if a little spartan and if you are continuing on to Vienna, Petrzalka station is just five minutes walk away with hourly services to Sudbahnhof. The breakfast is of a good standard - choose from the buffet and/or the menu (mainly eggs). If you're looking for holiday charm go elsewhere. If you need to sleep, wash and surf the net within easy reach of the city centre, this is a very good deal.

Out of town but bus 93 to Zochova then bus 80 to Udernicka Kupalishko (not all buses go here so check!!). Then 200 metres walk. Receptionist very friendly and helpful. I had a family room so can’t comment for single rooms. Television (Slovak channels only). Paid extra for breakfast – cereals, cooked breakfast, coffee etc. Average.

Very good price around 23 euro's through booking.com, it is not that easy to find specially if u get there by night.
likes: car park, 24 hours reception, restaurant until around 10, 11, big clean rooms,wi-fi
dislikes: it is quite far from the city if you don t have a car (around 3, 4 km), the area is industrial but the hotel is quiet, the room was on the ground floor and the window was to the back where it was nothing, the tv has channels only in slovakian language.
