We stayed twice here: once in august, and once in april few years ago, very different experience. In the summer you have a stunning view from the outdoor pool and restaurant, but quite noisy due to the playing children. In the spring it was quieter, more relaxing.
Food is generally good, lovely indoor facilities of saunas and pools.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view if you want to enjoy it all the time, we were happy with our quiet room f...

This hotel is perched near the top of the 'black hill' and overlooks the bend of the Danube. It's worth paying the extra for a room with that view! Magnificent.
We only stayed 1 night and didn't use the pool or other spa facilities.
The room was adequate, good bathroom and the terrace overlooking the pool and Danube was welcome.
We wanted a mid-afternoon snack on the arrival day before going to a friend's wedding but the service was so slow - 50 mins for 2 bowls of soup and a salad - that we cancelled the salad.
Breakfast was chaotic with seemingly insufficient tables for the number of guest; coffee, brown sugar and fried eggs ran out and nobody seemed too bothered about replenishing them. The quality of the food was acceptable but nothing special.
Staff are friendly.
I think the hotel rests on its position and the wellness centre because everything else was just about ok!

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view!

The hotel is located in Visegrad on the hill, near to the Citadel. It has very good facilities for rest, excursions to the surrounding hills or Visegrad, wellness, relaxation at the same time. The service is good as well, hiowever it is a little expensive :)

Room Tip: Rooms with the site to the Danube curve are the best because of the panorama.

We stayed at the hotel last weekend for 2 nights. As we arrived there was a possibilty of a late dinner! But the restaurant staff was not on the top, they managed to carry away the soup cup only at the end of the meal. The food was delicious and the sortiment was wide. The view from the restaurant terrace, and from the room balcony is wonderful. I liked the outside pool and the wellness area. The room was a little bit worn out with a very small TV, and with a bathroom what was like a built in plastic box (just like in the highway motels) After all, the hotel is a little bit overpriced for the service level, but the view is, worth it!

Stayed here for a prolonged weekend and do not regret it! :) And if you would ask why, my answer would be because of the wellness/pool area and the food. and yes, the rooms are the weak point of this hotel....
The building itself is old-fashioned and not really renovated from outside. The standard room we stayed in during the first 2 nights was simple not 4star worth, but a weak 3 stars. The bathroom was a plastic cube, not enough space for the beds (were at the wall just to enable opening of the terrace door), and no AC, mosquito net... For the last night we moved to a superior room with a view on the forest and that was a big difference: clean spacious, huge bed, AC, huge bathroom...
All our trouble with the standard room however was overcompensated with the pool area, the extremely good food during dinner, the "all you can eat" buffet during lunch and the massages we got in the hotel.
My recommendation is: go there, but ask for a superior room.

Room Tip: superior rooms with a view on the forest

I stayed at this hotel of a conference. There were a number of other guests including children.

The rooms were a good size and the facilities with indoor and small outdoor pool clean and well designed. There are sun loungers round the pool where you can gaze over the Danube. The same view is from breakfast/dining room and the terrace.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is a stroll away from the castle, where according to legend Count Dracula was imprisoned! The Castle is well worth a visit - though maybe miss the waxworks!

Was there on a business trip for a three night's stay. Hotel is located high above the Danube, with a panoramic view. But this is about it on the positive side. Everything is very old and worn, standard rooms have no air-conditioning (in a 4 star hotel!!) and the bath room is a built in plastic cabin. The selection of food at the buffet is good and the quality is okay. The room rate was ridiculously cheap for Western European standards, so I guess there is only so much to expect...the surrounding area though is certainly worth a visit!
