“An excellent restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2012

There are two restaurants in the hotel. We ate at the more upscale one and were delighted with both the food and the attentive service. The cost for two all in with an excellent bottle of local Chardonnay and a glass of Tokaji for dessert was about €70. We would go back in an instant.

“This restaurant deserves a Michelin star (or even two)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2011

Having had two business lunches at Villa Medici this week, all I can say is that this an exceptionally good place with impeccable service, creative yet delicious haute cuisine and French brasserie style cosy atmosphère. The foie gras trio with tokaji szamorodni is a true delight, but the game was equally superb. Bravo. Give them a Michelin star, quickly, they deserve it.

“gorgeous food in pretty setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 12, 2011

Restaurant was several times in Hungarian top 10 over past decade . It's located slightly outside center on premises of the hotel with same name - conveniently to reach by car (direction zoo ) . Though close to bridge it's completely quite down in the valley where it's located. Thanks to nice weather we enjoyed dinner outside somewhat secluded next to small pond. Wife selected menu with hungarian specalties , me the business menu - both were delicious . Even my wife who's not type "loving food", admitted that her food was just great and that she was glad she joined. Service very attentive without being intrusive . Blankets available for when it get's bit chilly . Wine and non-alcoholic were surprisingly low priced . Price level menu is at high side for Hungary , but attractively priced when comparing to western europe. Definitely a place to return to - even "detour" from Budapest is worth it.
