Very nice small hotel near the lake. Newly renovated rooms, free Wifi, good breakfast and nice staff. The restaurant in the ajacent building serves exellent food at resonable prices. We stayed for three nights, and I would like to come back.

This hotel is located at the border of the lake, next to the old castle. Therefore a perfect location. It has a quiet atmosphere. Rooms are not perfect, but certainly okay. Staff was very friendly. I also had some nice conversations with some of them - e.g. cook and receptionist - about living circumstances, local habits and local food. Many things, like food, could be customized. There is a small spa available for free. I liked it here.

Easy to reach and close (25 minutes) to Budapest. During summer for sure a nice Location, directly on the small lake and in an historic Castle like surrounding.
The rooms are quite different and I would strongly propose to book a room with a normal shower option. I had room No 2, which is equipped with a normal bathroom, but the bathub was nice to watch, but hat no curtains or anything else to protect water.
So in fact, the whole bathroom has been fludded.
But as said, this was just my room, all the others have been cokmpletely safe and normal in that respective!
The staff has been extremly friendly and supportive, even the Restaurant has been closed due to a private Party, they offered us free Drinks in our room.

Room Tip: Not room 2

This is the 6th hotel we have tried in Tata and now we have found "our place".
Already the booking process was very smooth (via email) and outstandingly kind and helpful.
We arrived on a Friday night and having booked a half board was supposed to have a dinner in a restaurant belonging to the hotel (table was reserved during the booking process). We have been informed after taking the room that the restaurant is fully booked due to an event and they regret the mistake however our dinner can be served in the room or downstairs in a special area.
------
Breakfast is great, you can also order eggs made different styles, sausages, etc so can be really according to your needs.

----
The rooms and the whole building is designed with taste and is built with quality.
----
Dedicated parking place is available couple of meters from the entrance
----
Location is ideal, right by the castle and the Centre.
---
The menu in the restaurant is limited , however what is on, would deserve to be listed in the Michelin guide.
Found though a little overpriced especially the wines.
---
Overall can only recommend and we definitely come back.

This chef offers more than the average chef. More special and local dishes allowing you to get a good feeling of the Hungarian cuisine.

Super nice wine card offers a variety of highly recommendable Hungarian wines as well as imported variants - all a perfectly matched to the menu.

Great service, great food and very nice surroundings...highly recommendable
