The artistic talent of the artists who work at this establishment is unexpected. I smiled the whole way through - from Disney characters, to folk tale illustrations, to historic figures - this is well worth the small admission charge. Everything is overpriced in Szendendre, but this is not.

This museum is very small, but every piece is worth looking at! So much detail to be seen in the marzipan models. Even when taking a careful look at each piece of marzipan art, a visit to this museum will not take more than half an hour, but it is worth every second of it.

It’s quite small but pack with Marzipan attractions. Nice touché is that they give various samples. If you want to try different kinds of Marzipan it will be more convenient to go to museum than but so much different kinds of treats.

This is one of the off beat attractions you go just because it's there. Everything in the " museum" is made of marzipan (a kind do candy). There's a replica do Princess Diana, Michael Jackson, Superman, a crèche, cacti, flowers, Disney characters etc, all on a couple of floors. It's a takeoff on a wax museum and worth spending part of an hour at. Something different! There is a store attached at which you can purchase various kinds of marzipan.

It may seem a bit kitschy to visit a Marzipan Museum, but if you have kids in your party, don't miss it. The museums "sculptures" in almond paste are really quite artful and there are enough that feature characters from American and European children's stories/films, that the kids got very excited to see the Flintstones, the 101 dalmations, and other Disney characters. The displays helpfully explain how many pounds of marzipan went into each piece and how long they take to build. After you tour the museum (just 15-30 minutes, tops) you can visit the shop and choose from a wide variety of candies, including many Disney characters (the museum seems to have licensed the characters - they are in official Disney packaging - we came home with a Winnie-the-Pooh and a Dumbo). The shop has a sister store in Budapest in the Castle (Var) District) if you don't plan on visiting Szentendre. I happen to love marzipan and "forced" my family to visit the museum, but it was a fun diversion for the kids and more interesting for them than browsing in the many shops that stock Hungarian folk art.
