“worth visiting”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

A visit to the marzipan museum is definitely a highlight and one can't help but admire the skill and detail that went into the exhibition pieces. Being offered marzipan when one enters the museum/shop is very helpful, especially to introduce the treat to novices. I would have rated it "excellent" if there had been some demonstration or at least a visual display of how marzipan is made.

“small, but interesting little place”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

more of a display than a museum, but still an interesting small tour. there are signs on each item made of marzipan, explaining how many ingredients, and how many hours it took to make. a gift shop at the end to buy goodies, which we did. An icecream shop underneathwhere we bought a marzipan icecream, delicious, never had that flavour before.

“Szentendre .The artists village..and Marzipan wonder.”
Reviewed April 13, 2013

This is a village about an hour from Budapest by blue line train but also by boat...I would advise the boat ...It is a great relaxing experience and a beer or coffee or whatever is a great way to refresh you for a few hours in this Serbian village..
Apart from being filled with the usual touristic shops there are wonderful galleries and little coffee shops etc...
The MARZIPAN MUSEUM is not to be missed but it is just one of the many sights of this unchanged village...
Relaxing in the coffee shops and cafes on the water front would be my choice but there are many.

“Excellent value - fascinating”

Fascinating little museum. Large selection of models showing amazing detail considering they are made of marzipan. My wife teaches cke decorating and my photos are now on a disk to provide a teaching resource.

“Charming, cheap--why not?”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

This is admittedly a very small museum, but it's also very cheap and rather charming. It's amazing what someone can make completely out of marzipan. It's not something to travel specifically for, or course, but it's right there on the main shopping drag, it'll only take you a few minutes to see, so why not go for it if you happen to be in Szentendre?
