“Perfect way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon”
Reviewed November 23, 2011

It was difficult to choose from the many Hungarian specialties that were offered. We were very satisfied with our choices of vealpaprikash and cordon bleu accompanied by delicious side dishes and Hungarian wines. Service was attentive and friendly. It was a treat to sit in the lovely patio among local families enjoying the afternoon.

“A meal of a lifetime”
Reviewed May 11, 2011

We took the ferry from the heart of Pest to Szentendre and stumbled across this place, whose terraced garden overlooks the Danube. The other restaurants along the river sit well below the line of the river wall and don't provide the same view. We chose from the menu, which focused on produce currently in season, starting with the asparagus soup, which was a taste sensation. Our mains were the pork and the goose, which were melt in your mouth good. To be honest neither of us had ever tasted so perfectly cooked a meal outside a Michelin rated restaurant and these were considerably larger portions! This place is a must if you're in Budapest, the leisurely ferry trip up the Danube is beautiful and Szentendre is a charming town well worth wandering around,

“Nice restaurant - recommended”
Reviewed May 13, 2010

Restaurant with several terraces overlooking the Donau. Very friendly and helpful owners. Very nice meal ( try for sure the goose liver ). Starter, main dish, wine and coffee for approx. 25 €. Nice wine card. Excellent price/quality. Ask to visit the wine cellar.

“Quality in Szentendre, Hungary”
Reviewed June 9, 2008

Szententre (St, Andrews) is a delightful historic town on the Danube about 1 hours drive from Budapest. Interesting architecturally and historically. The Promenade is right on the river front, if you walk along by the Danube you can't miss it. Owned and run by Husband and Wife team, Austrian and Hungarian respectively. Pleasant terrace, particularly in summer, and range of "international" dishes served with care. Not fast food, but of good quality and reasonably priced. Four of us all enjoyed our lunch and the ambience.
