This guesthouse is located in the forest near Sopron, 5 km-s from the town. there is no public transport to the guesthouse, there is only one narrow concrete road that takes you there through the forest, so one can come by car, take a hike, or find a taxi in sopron (it is around 12-15 Euros to get there from Sopron city).
The house itselt if a wooden house, with quite small, but recently renovated, clean and very nice rooms, all of them comes with a balcony. Some rooms have their own bathroom with shower, and other rooms have only a sink in the room and the bathroom is located on the other side of the corridor. I spent a few days there twice, so I tried both options. the room without bathroom was a bit more spacious, and the bathroom in the corridor was very clean. Otherwise, there is a double bed, a table, a wardrobe and a small TV in each room. TV has only 2 channels, one Hungarian and one English but people probably don't come here to watch TV.
Breakfast is not included in the room price, one can either order an a la carte breakfast (omelette, pastries, the usual) or pay 8 Euros for a breakfast+dinner combo. The guesthouse has a big restaurant, many people from Sopron visit it, so they serve a la carte lunch and dinner. Food is average, mostly some kind of meat with rice or potatoes with few vegetarian options. I really missed healthy food, like fruits or fresh salads, but the pancake with sour cherries and poppy seeds were delicious.
Around the guesthouse there are several hiking tracks, including a cross-country skiing / nordic walking track, and 2 look-out towers. The guesthouse has a big garden, with a small playground for children, and also 2 friendly dogs and several cats. I loved staying here and definitely plan to come back.
