Description: Mala Garden Hotel’s restaurant in Siófok offers an exotic atmosphere matching the hotel’s design, where guests can marvel at the magnificent view overlooking Lake Balaton all year round. The international cuisine and the menu is accordingly a composition of Far Eastern, Malay and Thai dishes and flavours, but devoted followers of healthy diets will not be left disappointed either with the wide variety of salads and fish dishes that await them. For those after Hungarian flavours, we have revisited a number of our cuisine’s traditional recipes and are proud to present our interpretations in the menu. Mala Garden Restaurant’s terrace has a magnificent view of Siófok’s Golden Shore; during the summer, you may dine or drink your favourite cocktail in a genuine beach atmosphere. We have a rich selection of Hungarian wines, and to let as many try them as possible, the wine specialties of the Balaton, Villány and Tokaj regions are available by the glass. Every Friday night in June, July and August, live music is played to add to the beach atmosphere.

Whilst the location and the decor of this place was very nice, the quality of the food was really nothing to write home about. The staff was friendly and had no problems with us wanting to wait to get a table outside (which we eventually did). However, when it comes to the food we definitely left dissappointed. They do try to "spice up" their menu and differentiate it from teh traditional Hungarian places, which is nice but the result is pretty average. All fish dishes were overcooked and so was the meat in the salads. All in all, nice setting but don't get your hopes up that this meal is going to be very different from any other one in Siofok.

this is the no 1 restaurant in trip advisor and I had visited it once before in 2010 in November. I remembered it as a restaurant with lovely food. This time it was very disappointing. The shared mezze plate seemed really not fresh at all, bread dull and half stale. I was hoping for next serving but again awful and the children simply couldn't eat their pasta because of the nasty sauce on top. I tasted it, it simply wasn't delicious. Hope that it was just a glitz because of busy summer time. I know Mala Garden can be really good, so please try harder, it could be a fantastic place.

This is a really nice restaurant with lounge atmoshpere on the Balaton Lakeside with "Buddha" style enterior modern and cosy, they have very good child corner, lovely!
Food and drink quality is very good but not excellent. Maybe the differences between excellent and very good can say something to those gourmet guests whom are interesting about Hungarian cuisine or to whom is important what they eat and in what quality.
Row materials are good, preparing is good, but sometimes flavours are nit harmonized well. Just an example, if you choose the ravioli stuffed with spinach and garnished with some smoked prawn I can tell that the leek`s flavour in the sauce really doesn`t match with the whole pasta and sauce flavour. And you are going to find these little things in each and every dishes. About desserts: anytime we order a dessert it seems like they have no idea what to create as a dessert, and seems like barely collected some lelftover from this from that and they mixed something. All together food is very good here, fresh and they do their best, but do not expect excellent quality, and then you`ll be satisfied.
In this place the only thing that really need changes is the service. Although you are going to recognise waiters try to be nice and helpful but somehow you feel that it is fake and they are always in rush (even if they shouldn`t) and their friendliness is not real. Maybe they are too young, or this is just a seasonal job they try to survive I don`t know, but something is not good in service.

We stayed for three nights in Mala Garden Hotel and during this time we also had daily meals at the restaurant, two to three per day.

The food here is excellent, highly varied and carries a quality seldom seen in normal restaurants. Not only is the food far beyond normal, the service is also at same level with waiters that are courteous, fast and polite. Their coffee menu leaves nothing to be desired and carries an exceptional variation, the only thing to be improved are English subtitles in the menu.

The restaurant itself is decorated according to Baliean style with very well made decorations that are not only genuine but and completely 100% performed everywhere.

If you are in the Balaton/Siofok-area, this restaurant is a must. As a family with a young baby, the restaurant even has a baby-play area in the back and sitting chairs for babies.
