This lovely hotel was recommended by friends who stayed there a couple of years ago and they were telling us how so many jazz musicians would stay there when the music festival kicked in.
One word: great!
The hotel reminded me of those mediterranean hotels where the staff can't wait to welcome you.
The location is fantastic, they even have a charming leafy yard doubled up as a parking lot.
We were told to go for food to a local nearby restaurant - we asked for typical, and boy we got it! Goulash means something else to me by now!
And when we thought it was a lost little town in the middle of nowhere, we went for a walk in the morning and discovered a beautiful historical centre, with churches, museums, open air coffee houses and a shopping centre to die for!
And let's not forget Hungary kept their Fiorints! Which means you still have that fascinating experience of calculating the value of things checking your exchange app and discover how incredibly cheap everything is!
I cannot help but recommend it!More
